Real Estate listings in the City Center Neighborhood: www.buyermax.c...
The Bellingham City Center Neighborhood is found in the heart of Bellingham, containing multiple districts such as the Downtown District, Old Town, and the Waterfront District. There are many thoroughfares in the neighborhood, including Holly St, Roeder Ave, State St, Cornwall Ave, Dupont St, and Girard St.
The neighborhood has various distinct districts each with its own character. The Downtown District is on the eastern side of the neighborhood and is known for its large array of retail shops, restaurants, and nightlife.
The Old Town District is found between the Downtown District and the Waterfront District. Originated from the economics associated with the Port of Bellingham, the district has now transferred into an urban village. The Arts District is just south of the Civic Center and contains historic buildings like the Mt. Baker Theater and the Whatcom Museum of History and Art. Behind the museum lies Maritime Heritage Park, which provides many amenities.
The Waterfront District is located on Bellingham Bay east of Old Town. The Waterfront includes many outdoor spaces including Waypoint Park, which contains a beach, playground, and a dirt pump track. Across the bay from Waypoint Park is Zuanich Point Park, which boasts gorgeous crashing waves and a trail system that weaves around the Bellingham marina.
Bellingham’s City Center is a unique area, unlike any other city in Washington State. While you won’t find many high-rise buildings, the city center still provides a dense collection of unique businesses, waterfront trails, parks, multifamily homes, and great views and access to Bellingham Bay, while maintaining the small-town vibe unique to Bellingham.
