The map company will not give you the license key at the time of purchase. It's part of their procedure. Don't ask me why. I'm just glad the map updated

One update whenever an update comes out. The update is usually good for a few years before another update comes out.

A good way to find out is if you call the vendor selling the map

You call during the I install. At some point it ask for a key, Only customer service has that key. You do it live and make sure you do it during business hours. Whoever you purchase it from, that's who you call

I ordered mine and never received it but I got a confirmation number and email. I assumed it would come automatically after the order so I’m thinking I got scammed.
