I understand where you’re coming from, but I’ve been in the dog game for the last 16+ years dogs are another commodity that is negotiable and if you’re not standing there, watching the day-to-day operations of your breeder, Weather backyard or professional, you’re taking a chance and even professional breeders Back out when they have a bad dog that they off to someone this is the dog game it’s been that way for years on both sides, the working side and the show line Price does not mean quality it means you’re paying for the name just like Cadillac or Lincoln

One thing I haven’t personally dealt with is game dogs but a lot of my friends have them. And you’re right, this another league of its own!

Preach... You can say that again..sounds like he's knocking another breeder that has the same dogs as he's, but it's probably much cheaper I could be wrong tho lol

How much did you sell your first pups for? 1500$ is reasonable if it’s there first breeding if they say they are lowering the price that’s one thing but if the price is $1500 there’s nothing wrong with that

It’s not really about the price is about the entire kennel program. But my first Presa I sold was 5500$. My price has always been the same. But the point is what kind is kennel program are you really buying from. I appreciate your comment!

I get the point Rich is making but… Being that I’m living in South east Asia now, I couldn’t possibly spend $5500 on a dog and then pay the ridiculous international shipping fees with it. In this area, the top of the line protection dog breeds (Rott, GSD, Dobe, Caucasian Shepherd, Cane Corso) average about $695 US. These dogs come health tested, vaccines, paperwork registrations, microchips, and they will ship to your front door for an extra $125. You may see some that go for just over 1 grand, but not that often. That’s the market here, and unfortunately I’d be negotiating for a lower price if they were more than $1000. I still respect what Rich is saying though. It is a bit of a red flag.

THANK YOU QUALITY MATTERS I got lucky I was talking to a breeder who had a boy I loved he studs him out (the male had the body I wanted) the female he stud his dog to had the family orientated mentality but she was from another kennel His price coming from his kennel was 5k The other kennel that had his pups 3000 (only cause the boy I bought was a solid color daddy was merl mom was lilac) I got lucky
