You just gotta drive old vehicles to really appreciate it. I'm an old Jeep guy and my newest vehicle besides the FiST is a 95 Jeep XJ lol. My previous hatch/wagon history includes the ZX5 Focus, Escort and MazdaSpeed3. These things are already pushing the bleeding edge of the power they can put down without a LSD. IMO even with a LSD I wouldn't mess with the power output and focus on chassis/suspension upgrades and driver mods.

I stuck with stock suspension and wheel/tire size. I get 210 whp/276 wtq with intake parts, a better intercooler and a custom tune. It's torquey like an old-school big block. You don't have to downshift much.

My guess is you have a decatted down pipe to hear all those amazing burbles. I have stock dp with milltek (muffled) and don’t get that much.

@@ryeguy88 actually still has the stock cat and dp. Just muffler delete and res delete!

The ST line could be had with a 5-speed manual or the crappy auto.
