excellent video with a lot of great info. for folks that are not familiar with mobility carts. i just bought a used drive, ZooMe-R that is just like new. it was bought online so no nearby dealer near me and in looking at the mfg. they said that Drive no longer makes these mobility carts. will there be a problem if i need service in the future with finding parts and or service? i am handicapped with only partial use of my hands which prevents me from doing any repairs myself, so i really appreciate videos like this one.

The truth, which is kind of good and bad all of the service people that I know in my area will only service mobility scooters with the exact replacement part that means they need your serial number manufacturer to be able to order the part. If they no longer manufacture the part or the part is not available, they will want to sell you a new machine. The good part is. If you can find someone who is skillful, most parts are interchangeable with some slight modifications, my suggestion. Is to invest some time now find someone who knows that type of machine. and have him service it at least once a year that way when something breaks you will have a go to person that you can trust. I hope this helps all the best Ray.

Very informative video review. What do you think about EW-72. Found one locally, not driven much, been stored in garage. They are replacing faulty throttle and said if batteries end up not being good, they will replace them also.
@raysfix3 жыл бұрын
Is this the right scooter for you ? 3 wheel scooters are only for people that are fully functional They are more likely to tip and are usually faster the ew-72 is a 3 and 10 mph Keep in mind that the smaller wheels will give a harder ride Is this scooter listed for sale on the internet ? if so send me the link Thank you for the comment and don’t forget to subscribe Ray

@@raysfix The eWheels EW-72 is 4 wheels, up to 15mph, pneumatic tires 14" and 16". It is a local person so no link to any ad. Thank you for the offer to check it out though. My controller box got wet , what will happen to my scooter
@shopandmath7 ай бұрын
Did it get wet while you were driving? If the machine is under power, or basically, electricity flowing through the circuitboard, and the circuitboard gets wet, it is possible to create a short circuit and blow or destroyed part of that board Another thing that also happens is it gets damp over a long period of time and the wires for the capacitor rust and then after period of time they won’t work anymore If you’re driving and you go through a deep puddle and the scooter stops, the batteries are not under water Stop get off the unit, put it in neutral and pull it out of the puddle. Do not turn it on again until everything is 100% dry almost like putting a cell phone fell in water into rice to absorb all of the moisture out of the actual phone. Water is the enemy of electronics and everything on that unit is electrical. There isn’t a good quality made Scooter on the market. Some of them have splash covers and that’s about it I seen you at when you look underneath the electronics are 100% exposed. The unit is dry 100% turn the unit back on most likely it will still run. If it doesn’t run check the fuses and also check terminals for corrosion.

@raysfix2 жыл бұрын
@@austinhodges4060 If you’re buying a used scooter only assume that the batteries need to be replaced And factor that into the cost of the scooter There are multiple different styles of batteries Obviously the more expensive the battery better they will be in terms of lasting longer or getting more kilometres per charge Always buy the largest battery that will fit in your scooter Most of the scooters I buy require 2 100 amp hour batteries I generally pick the batteries up from interstate I’ve tried other batteries and battery manufacturers I also find the batteries last approximately two years and then need to be replaced but you must also keep in mind that the scooters are used from sun up to sundown every single day for approximately nine months of the year I hope this helps Ray
