@@Sp00ns655 You're literally the only person to have ever said it's not hard taking care of axolotls. And since you said that it's not hard, I HIGHLY doubt you even own them. Anyone who has owned them know how hard they are to take care of. And considering the ONLY animals of Paul's that have died continuously, if they have died that is, that just shows they aren't easy to take care of, and considering all his other animals are alive, that also just shows he's not an irresponsible pet owner as you are suggesting. Looking at the comments i see 2 groups of people. Axolotl owners/ people who know how to care for them and who are worried for their well being because Paul clearly doesn’t know how to care for these guys as these are numbers 7 and 8 that he’s had. And people who see these axolotls in a fancy tank and assume he’s a good care giver for them. When in reality his sand looks to rough, the aquarium doesn’t have enough hides, there’s wood which i just learned can create toxic bacteria to the axolotl, and that’s just what’s being shown on camera. I’m not gonna make assumptions but i really hope he knows what types of worms to feed them for nutrition, and i also hope he knows that the only thing that should go in that water is prime water conditioner. Any other additives could be really bad. We’ll see how long these 2 last tho. Such a shame that content seems to be more important then proper care. But hey what do i know.
@bernardoknox72732 жыл бұрын
We have mostly seen him feed them blood worms and I guess they sometimes eat the minnows/guppies that he used to keep with the axolotls. And you shouldn't really keep fish with axo's, especially not goldfish like he did with the last one.
@briannacooley67622 жыл бұрын
Yes, what do you know. You people assume that just because he's a youtuber and he doesn't know absolutely everything there is to know about all the different types of animals he has, that he doesn't care for them. Of course he doesn't know everything, he's still learning, and he learns from his past mistakes as any human does, but it doesn't mean he just gets these animals for views. He'll, he barely shows them on his channel so it's not for content. He genuinely cares for these animals, he just once again doesn't know everything there is to know, which is okay. Also, youu people assume that when Paul gets these animals they are always in perfect condition but HE messes up, they aren't always in good shape, and their conditions aren't always visible. Paul's a smart dude, more people dislike his axolotl videos than they like them, and that's bad for his channel, if he wanted to use animals for content then he would get something that creates more of a positive impact than negative one.
@Sp00ns6552 жыл бұрын
@@briannacooley6762 when dealing with animals like axolotls its very important that you know as much as possible. Hes had 8 of them in the past few years. Keep in mind a healthy axolotl lasts 15 years. He barley posts them because he cant keep them healthy. He only shows them eating blood worms which is a horrible diet, hes kept them in too small of enclosures in the past, hes cooked a few in the past by letting their tanks get too hot, he posts modern videos with sand that can easily cause an impaction so yea, he is a shit pet owner and shouldn't be able to keep buying these. A few mistakes are fine but when your talking about killing 6 axolotls in such a short time span, enough is enough. You say too many dislike these videos, when its because he clearly only posts them for views and not the animals health. Lastly, you say he does always get them in the best conditions but we can see how healthy they are when he un boxxes them. Axolotls are easy to tell when they have problems. Their gills can thin, they get super skinny, they generally act up, etc. Using that as a cop out is just fishing for excuses.
@briannacooley67622 жыл бұрын
@@Sp00ns655 So which is it, has he killed 8 of them or 6, or 4, or even 10? All you people are saying completely different numbers. It is impossible for a singular person to know everything about the animal when they have a ton of other animals as well. The only axolotl that was in a tank too small was the one in the fish room which is likely still alive, he just hasn't shown any of the fish from the old fish room in a while. Every other tank has been fine for the size of the animals. He may not be the best at keeping and taking care of these axolotls, but that obviously does not make him a shit pet owner. And as far as I've been told from multiple people, the whole "cooking" the axolotls incident happened because the power went out or something like that, and Paul was likely not there to fix it. So not entirely his fault. Shit happens. I also fid not say every single axolotl he has had were in bad conditions when he got them. I said some of them weren't in the best of conditions, like some of the ones he got from that pet store if I'm remembering correctly. He also feeds them what he was likely told to feed them.
@Sp00ns6552 жыл бұрын
@@briannacooley6762 First of all i said these were numbers 7 and 8, which means hes killed 6 before this. Second you dont need to know everything about them but you need to know enough to keep them alive. Third when the power went out he had plenty of time to return home and fix it, and if he couldnt then he had plenty of time to have a friend or family go and figure it out. To many animals died from that accident and if its a risk then it should be accounted for. Forth, it doesnt matter what your told to feed them by one person. You should do enough research to know the basics of what their diet should be. A one second google search can tell you that not to mention the hundreds of comments that have told him blood worms aren't enough. Finally you keep going back to the idea that the animals wernt in the best conditions when he got them but once again we can clearly see that they are. And if they arnt then they deserve the respect to be taken to a vet, or at least be quarantined and healed properly. Axolotls are amazing creatures and under the right circumstances should be very treatable. He clearly has enough money to do so. And he wouldnt keep buying them if the others were still alive. HE would continue to make content with the ones he has rather than only film new ones.

Both of those rules are wrong but ok. You absolutely can keep them in sand as long as it’s extremely fine and can pass through their bodies. I’m fact they sell sand for axolotls. Although babies shouldn’t be kept in sand for obvious reasons. U just can’t keep them in sand that’s corse (I’ll agree tho his sand wasn’t fine enough). Also you can keep 2 together as long as their the same sex, have enough room, and are roughly the same size. I will agree tho that this kid shouldn’t have them and has had too many chances to properly care for them, and seems to have Learned nothing.

Please I really hope Paul will read this!!!! But pleaseee take the wood out of your axolotl tank! Wood is a No-Go in axolotl tanks because on wood bacterias grown really fast that are really dangerous for your axolotl! Also it would be great if you get more hiding spaces for the axolotl. Of course the life plants are awesome and will grown and should never miss in a axolotl tank but it's better to always have a cave for each axolotl so no one get biten when it gets a little tight. Also for any new axolotl parents NEVER USE TANK ADDITIVE! Axolotl aren't fish and are really sensitive on any type of chemicals. They get really sick if you don't watch it. They really just need nature ground (that's not too sharp because they sometimes eat something of it and need to poop it out), a good filter, many plants, caves to hide in and a chiller (Tank Cooler) and clear water with nothing in it - just these things will make your lotl happy. ♥ Also please don't feed big axolotl bloodworms, they are too small and doesn't have enough proteins, (thanks to mikalmos I needed to add something here:) just go in your garden and pick them some tasty earthworms, IF you know your garden is out of any chemicals such as fertilizer or other eventual toxic materials. When you don't know what's exactly in your soil then you can also buy earthworms from a shop, these are grown separately and don't come into contact with dangerous chemicals - they will gonna love them, also it's really fun to feed them these with hands (or tongs)! ^^ And if you really read this Paul. I am a huge fan of yours! Love the pigs videos!!!
