@@TARDISES Technically yes, buying 12 baits will easily offset the penalty for 8 purchases but then you have the issue of like 84-96 Lampreys (bait enemies) spawning at the start of next wave lol

Notably the text says that you only get the damage penalty "on wholesale," so in theory you should be able to buy single-buy uniques without incurring it.

Some vanilla runs sprinkled in here and there would be fun, the mods are entertaining for sure but the base game still has some wild combos to explore. As an example: I did an SMG Renegade run focusing on crits and attack speed to go with the 3x projectiles, then Giant's Belt dropped from a crate. The jump up in damage was so astronomically comical I wish I had recorded it

I did a glutton run with pruners+gardens, grabbing plastic explosives and extra stomach.. Didn't try endless but by wave 20 explosive damage was at the 5k mark, with food everywhere...
