I chose a 2024 Transalp as my first bike. While I had to go into it with both eyes open, I figured I wasn't ultimately bothered by it being a 750 because I'm not a young, risk-taking adrenaline junkie who was going to let the power get me in trouble. And while a lighter bike would obviously be easier to handle and learn on, the Transalp carries its weight low, I'm committed to learning and I'm a larger stature guy. A smaller, lighter dual sport would have had a flatter, safer learning curve but I wanted a bike I wouldn't grow out of and could comfortably take on longer sport touring trips as well as do some light offroading adventure touring on. And I don't think I'll ever need to upgrade to anything bigger or in a different style.

White Suzuki with silver bars looks great! It’s a shame they don’t offer the red white and blue Transalp in America.

If memory serves, it's ABS that resets and switches back on every time you switch the key to the Off position. The modes are consistent, but I think the lawyers wanted the ABS to be nanny-mode.

The Transalp 750 is a road bike and it's a big adventure bike that too big for the majority of beginners. It has too much HP, the throttle by wire is quicky, quick shifter/blipper will be confusing. The seat height of 33.7, and a higher center of gravity makes it easier to drop the bike. Lower cc/hp road bikes like cruisers, standard bikes, or smaller adventure bikes are best suited. You may gain experience by dropping a bike, but becoming proficient with less effort and intimidation on a smaller bike will build your confidence.

I will leave that the tft on my 21 africa twin looks damn near identical. Will should beable to set up user 1 and user 2. User 1 I have everything at the minimum user 2 everything all the way up. The goofy part is the power full bars is a more delayed throttle 1 bar is a very aggressive throttle I just learned that on my bike last week I always left it full bars because I thought it was more power we'll really 1 bar is more power

First bike? Give your head a shake, this is way above a first bike skill level. Even the 500 is a bit much for new riders, but a better option.

I disagree. It all depends on the rider. I started on a Tenere-700 and have been just fine. Then again I'm 6'2" so my feet touch the ground fine. I've also been driving trucks for the better part of a decade so my discipline is more refined than the average car driver. I think it's possible, but on a case by case basis.
