Awesome video as always man. Do you plan on fixing this up like new. Is it even possible?

Thanks! The cabinet itself may be rough but it's not falling apart. For now I'm focusing on fixing the gun and dialing in the monitor.

Ah yes, the *_DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION A_* Arcade machine, my favorite Anyways, how much does it take to bring an arcade machine like Initial D arcade games home?
@Vectrex4Life3 жыл бұрын
I got my Initial D machines at an auction. We had to borrow a trailer to bring them home and they used a forklift put them in the trailer. Racing Jam is kind of a more manageable machine to move because you can easily take it apart.
@ZeonicFreak3 жыл бұрын
@@Vectrex4Life You'll have to really discect the machine to take it apart. I think there was one guy on youtube years ago that got Ver 3 at an auction either in Tennessee or North Carolina and put everything in the back of his truck in pieces.

@@Vectrex4Life I always wondered if someone could just buy the boards without the full cab, then wire up display along with more generic steering wheels like a G29 or something. I've been contemplating to buy a RingEdge board without cabinet, so I can just get whatever IO board is needed for different games, and wire up different kinds of controllers, instead of buying separate cabs for each game. I mean at worst I already have some arcade games running on my laptop (including every single IDAS games save for the newest one, as well as some others).

@rudyramos13362 жыл бұрын
Im picking up a silent scope 2 machine this weekend. From your video it looks like the monitor is mounted and screwed down correct? Im trying to figure out if I should transport it upright or lay it on its back.
@Vectrex4Life2 жыл бұрын
Yes, arcade monitors should always be mounted and screwed down. But make sure that it is secure before transport.

Do you still have the cabinet? I’ve got one too but I’m having some odd issues on wiring or lack thereof! There isn’t much info or aftermarket parts but I shoot, I wanted to see if you knew much in anything you’d found for this machine in your time of owning it, cheers!
@Vectrex4Life2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I still have it. You can find a scan of the wiring diagram online just by Googling for the manual. There are no aftermarket parts out there, except for the universal things that are easily replaceable (microswitches, the coin mech, etc). Hope this helps!
@terrancebrown82022 жыл бұрын
@@Vectrex4Life the main thing I’ve been amazed by is that little board connected to the monitor that controls it, that’s one thing I can’t find anywhere or any mention of its existence. I found out today that the Cn2 and CN3 connections are ones I’ll have to replicate and make on my own, And hey, thank you for this video. I recently found dark silhouette machine that’s been converted to an EX so a lot of wires are missing and such, but this video helped me greatly when I first found the board and wired it in so seriously! Thank you
@Vectrex4Life2 жыл бұрын
@@terrancebrown8202 Ah, I see. I would find out what model your monitor chassis is, if you don't already know. You may be able to find someone selling just the remote, if your chassis is designed to accept one.
