What a gem of a video. That intro gives me flashbacks to when I first watched this video. Time flies 😂

8:10 I tried gryphon bricks, it was ok. I wish if gryphon software made a remastered version of gryphon bricks, 3d view, 3d bricks and figure and I wonder what 3d game engine they would use to do that, C++? Godot or Torque game engine or something?

Spatializer 3D Stereo, developing company, who work with Konami, not only they work with the Racing Jam franchise, but also, they made a Gradius spin-off game with 3D element concept like starfox named Solar Assault. They where 2 versions of the game, a Japanese only version named Solar Assault Gradius, featuring 5 stages, while there is a 2nd revision titled Solar Assault Revised, features 6 stages, 1+ extra stages, and the last stage was length with an additional boss, it also features some graphic fixes in some stages, and bosses. Meanwhile the US version, we had the Revised version (with the extras I mentioned) under the title simply as Solar Assault. Amazing for SPATIALIZER 3D STEREO company, for the ideas 😎😎😎 However, just like Racing Jam, Solar Assault, also had multiple technical work with this, as the MAME emulation community, struggled to get this to work, now is playabke, but with some slight bugs, depending with what MAME emulation are you playing with.

I remember as a kid that I got beaten by Black knight, and Rocket racer came third. If Rocket racer just get a little disrupted in the start, it's black knight who runs ahead. I don't know what the 3 other racers does. The just miss all the bricks and does nothing..

Pretty nice, and what a enormous machine! It only rivals Sega's Three-screen F355 in size, not to mention the sense of speed and its groovy soundtrack. Racers back then were meant to be fun and remarkable, something completely lost by today. As per the hardware, at 1 million polys 60 fps, Cobra must have been a beast akin to Model 3. Nowadays, any cell phone has thousands of computational power compared to it, but for 1997 a few things could compare. Excellent 😊

Funny thing about the whole emulation box thing, people didn't stop making videos trying to sell these devices because now we have ads showing off a small handheld device that runs a crap-ton of games when it's literally a Powkiddy device and they are profiting off of emulators and games that they do not own, much like the GameBoxHero.

The menu sounds when you hover over the options will immediately explain this and bring shudders to those who played PC shovelware racing games back in the day - Mountain Vengeance is made by the same people and likely runs on the same "engine" as Midnight Outlaw Illegal Street Drag.

This seemed like Lego’s only foray into a truly sandbox game. I wish they modernized it because a Lego sandbox game utilizing modern computing power would be great.
