Brings back memories of my first 125cc dirtbike which was a '91 RM125. Looked exactly like this bike. I still remember how sweet the FMF Gold Series pipe looked on it. I bought it with the top end dismantled and did my first top end rebuild at 15yrs old and did a pretty good job because it did end up starting and sounded pretty good. I took it for the first ride and about 10mins into it the engine locked up. When I took it apart one of the c-clips in the piston was not seated into the groove all the way and had come out siezing itself into the electroplated cylinder wall and piston. I was devastated but I learned to never do a half ass top end rebuild after that.

Ouch! That sucks ,what happened to you.at least you didnt get hurt.one time I was putting a can am engine together, new crank & piston for a 370 qualifier enduro bike, I dropped a washer into the spark plug hole.I heard it, but was tired & assumed it just fell o to be he engine.next morning I start my BRAND NEW engine, it runs for 20 sec., then, BANG! Washer caught between piston & a cylinder Port. $500 gone.I was choked, so I traded the bike away for $200 & a car stereo. * you aren't the only guy to slip up! Best wishes , get a new bike.its like being dumped by a girl....next!

My first 125 was a 92 cr125 I traded a chainsaw and a push mower for it and al it needed was a new head gasket now I got a 2006 ktm 250sx its bored to a 300 it's got a recluse clutch front and rear Michelin tires and fmf fatty pipe with electron carb it puts a smile on my face from earth to Jupiter

I use to have a 1986 RM125 and it was my favorite of all my bikes, it was sooo fast without being uncontrollable fast if you know what I mean plus the suspension was perfect 👌, it was sorta squishy.. it was sooo fun getting down on it on a track and making big jumps.. The frame on it was blue along with the seat and motor, it looked sooo sweet..!!! Damn I wish I still had it !!!

Great choice on this is Suzuki. I love RM 125s. They absolutely rip, All through the nineties and 2 thousands(I prefer the 96-00 and 01-07). They had such a hard hitting power band. Definitely a screaming wild child. I owned a few and currently own a 2000 that is absolutely factory fresh and slightly modernized. Awesome vid, awesome buy.
