Nice pickup. On your comment about the 2nd app of the black suit. I think I've said this before to you, that my records show that I bought over 20 copies of Spiderman 252 on Jan 31st 1984 and 1 copy of Marvel Team-Up 141 on Feb 14th 1984. Both comics have a cover date of May, but, Spiderman 252 came out 2 weeks before MTU 141. Hope this clears everything up. Thank you.

Marvel Premiere 15 is just one of my favourite books...Gil Kane, Roy Thomas...a homage to one of the first super heroes ever (Amazing Man). One of the best origin stories, yes, under valued.

From my sources, ASM 252’s on-sale date is January 31st 1984, which is two weeks before MTU 141 and Spectacular Spider-Man 90’s on-sale date of February 14th 1984.

The Marvel Team-Up issue is the 2nd appearance of the black suit, tied with Spectacular Spider-Man 90, which came out the same day. Both issues were released two weeks after ASM 252. I know CGC labels the three appearances as the first because they go by cover dates (May 1984). And while that technically is correct, according to cover date, it's misleading and dumb, in my opinion, because it applies all three issues were released/went on sale on the same day, which isn't the case.

Marvel Premiere 15 is definitely undervalued. Iron Fist 14 is even more undervalued!

Iron fist has never really had a large fan base so while I think it could go up, I’d be cautious. King Fu is a genre that had its day in the sun and would be tough to revive today like it was in the 70s and through the 80s. Nova has developed more fans in recent years (and they’ve done stuff so kids know who he is) but that book in the 90s and 2000s was always available and lots exist in high grade. Go 9.6 or better on that if believing in him

the BCW comic bins are great, I got better use out of them in my antique mall booth once I remove the lids, it gave me the extra space to fit one more box per 8 ft table. No comparison to cardboard boxes. Moving them for shows though is a pain but they stack and travel great.

Hey that’s me !! 😂 I love those boxes for my set up and for traveling . They do take up a bit more space than the normal boxes do on a table and oddly enough two short boxes are considerable longer than 1 long box in those.

I really like the BCW boxes… but I have a small collection. Like 2 of them small. I also got 1 or 2 (don’t recall how many needed) when I bagged my mom’s collection. Sadly hers are literally from when she was a kid, and super beat up. But I’m less worried about them getting any worse while in a rigid, plastic box stored away in a random closet. In any event, I couldn’t imagine using them at your scale. Maybe for the favorite books, that aren’t on display or something like that. Especially since they have the larger size for graded books.

Hey Gary, I make my own short boxes and lids with a template that I made so they all look the same. I use thick cardboard from when people buy a new television and I find them when they recycle the box. They are very strong. I have close to 90 of them. I collected back in 1977 till about 1999 then started back up again in 2018 till now. I took a 9 year break to raise 3 girls.

Nice little collection. I prefer using CARDBOARD short boxes. I always got long boxes, but it was too long for me as comics slide or bend. Short boxes are easier to lift and store compactly. I hope to get back $3500 in time Gary. Values fluctuate (mostly drop) and you have considered it when you bought it! Nice video Gary! I love to see what collections you buy!!!!

MP 15 is very under valued but I think the biggest under valued book is X-Force 2 2nd app of Deadpool.

Marvel premier 15 is, in my opinion, the most undervalued key of one of marvels heros. Though I got to say if they made a movie or Disney Plus show that is successful, I believe it will go way up . Till then it's the steal on the market !

I'm continually surprised with the drop in value for MP 15. It's relatively affordable now in high grades, and I've been wanting to snag one. But, as it keeps dropping in value and price, I've held off on pulling the trigger.

I think you did very very well. I was thinking it was about $2200 to purchase so you were a little bit under what I thought so I think you can definitely get 3K if not the 4K.

Glad your Terrificon went well Gary. As far as storage boxes go, I'm old school cardboard -- mainly because my "short boxes" hold between 100-110 books, many fewer than the bins hold. I'd rather move 100 30lb. boxes now that I'm older 😂 Jose Cuervo makes the perfect size (width) for silver age books, and they come in to colors (I use white for DC, gold for Marvel). Just one man's opinion ✌️

I figured $1500 for the price; I think you’ll double but work involved with box #2 to get there. MP #15 is a key for a relatively minor hero so I think current market is about right. A decent return to the MCU might give it a temporary boost. Netflix Iron Fist was unwatchable IMHO.

Very Gary, I think you did good on that collection but it sucks the New Mutants#98 is in horrible shape cause that could have been easily a $500 book. Very Gary,I have a good bit saved up and just kinda wanna know if you was me which grails would you try to get first TMNT#1, X-Men#1 1963,Hulk#181 or Cerebus#1? I only have $2K saved up so should I go for one now or keep saving cause those books seem to be going up in price everyday I swear.

I love the plastic BCW boxes, but I don’t love the price. Also, I would hate to have to open and close a bunch of them up during set-up or tear down at a comic-con, as you need a bunch of room to open and/or close the lids.

lids are removable, I use the long box versions which have 4 sets of clips to attach each lid side. I only attach the first and last set for transport to save time when taking the lids off at the con. 4 sets of bin lids fit nicely in the box the bin originally came in.

I feel the biggest under valued key is Strange Tales 110. for example a cgc 2.5 is like $1600. Tales to Astonish 27 cgc 2.5 is $2600. No way Antman is a bigger character than Dr. Strange. IMHO

OK. I stopped before you mentioned the price paid at the 13:16 mark. First I'll say the second box had far better sellable books, IMO. The first box is just new crap found in many dollar boxes. The slabs are ok but nothing Earth shattering. So, the price paid in total: $500. Let's continue and see what you actually paid. Well, I was way off on the price paid and IMO, you paid far too much at $1750. But then again, it's just my opinion. Best to all.
