Жалко вы его не взяли на реставрацию. Было бы здорово. Привет из России

actually back in the 90s people would use the boxes from these as accomodation at their dachas (a weekend country place in russia). they would often come stuffed with some weird military equipment inside, unlike this one, which is all empty. so instead of a house or a cabin they would have this thing from a truck. i kinda found it cool when i was a kid. and i once even thought about getting a gaz66, because they're rather inexpensive, but 1) needs a place to keep it; 2) its 4.2l v8 munches about 40 litres of petrol per 100 km. but this thing can go literally anywhere. i've driven one, and it's properly remarkable.

В России их в основном сейчас так и используют. Хотя немного в армии их ещё осталось

@@HSS_yt The T-34 has plenty of wheels, 14 wheels in total! The thing is, the T-34 can't drive without tracks. The BT Series tanks however..............

Nope, its GAZ. Look at 1:00, and compare it to russian alphabet, first letter is G.
@apetrenko_ai8 жыл бұрын
It's a GAZ 66 "Shishiga". Was manufactured in my home town Nizhny Novgorod, former Gorkiy, hence the Gorkiy Automobile Zavod (plant).

Alex Petrenko 👍 So what's the MAZ trucks? Different company?
@apetrenko_ai8 жыл бұрын
MAZ is a different company, which is in whole other country now. MAZ stands for Minskiy Avtomobilny Zavod, MAZ (Minsk Automobile Plant). As you may guess now, MAZes are produced in Minsk the capital of Belarus. Over the years MAZ usually produced much heavier vehicles, big diesel trucks mostly. While GAZ produced more lightweight trucks with petrol engines. GAZ also produced passenger cars, MAZ never did this.

@@apetrenko_ai max actually did try and make at least one passenger car, the maz-968 I believe.
