Excited to see you cruise this boat. I own a 320 Sun Dancer and I always saw these as lake boats or coastal cruisers. This is a great boat.

I have a SeaRay 380, so a bit more elbow room. You will enjoy the 340 but it will beat you to death out there on the ocean, simply not heavy or long enough for. regular ocean duty.
@perry5598 Жыл бұрын
With a 3-foot draft on a 34 ft, you could bring it from the west coast to Okeechobee waterway, 2 Saint Lucie and across to the Bahamas, 🤔 Unless you're picking the boat up around Naples or south of.
@billsmotrilla6215 Жыл бұрын
I am pretty sure if the engines are V Drive, the boat is an inboard, and not an I/O where you can raise the drives for shallower draft.

Great idea for getting you through the waiting period, now you can make your own schedule, take as much time as you want seeing the sights, no worries about dates and times to return the boat... jumping from one boat to another with luggage in tow... just settle in and cruise at your own pace!!

The 34 Sundancer will surely be a fun boat to blast around the Bahamas on, but with all due respect calling a 34ft express cruiser a "Motoryacht" is quite a stretch. The Hatteras 52 was a proper Motoryacht, and what a great boat that was! I doubt you will be able to realize a return of roughly double what you are paying for the dancer when you sell it like you did with the Hatteras when you sold it, but I'm sure you will have plenty of fun nonetheless. Please be careful every time you start the engines and sleeping inside an inboard gasoline powered boat, especially with a gasoline powered generator. Explosions and carbon monoxide poisoning are very real risks! Please take all the recommended safety precautions very seriously. ENJOY!!!

It will be interesting to see how long you will put up with small space, no solar, 28 gallons fresh water, gasoline, frequent visits to the fuel pump, etc. The idea is fun, I expect the reality will be different. But, it is another adventure...go for it!

Had a 310 Sundancer in 2001. Loved the boat. Only complaint is something I learned over time, is any boat bigger than 30 feet should be diesels. Diesels much more efficient. Had much better fuel numbers when I got my 2006 Meridian. Small Cummins engines were very efficient.

Bobby, did you investigate the Sea Ray express cruisers Mercury engine problems with seawater intrusion into the engines from the exhaust? Following seas can ruin both engines and from what I can find there is no cure. The Volvo engines are immune due to their exhaust is directed thru the lower unit.

Up to Maine, that would be awesome.....my home state. As far as the Sea Ray, compared to what you've had, you're gonna find that very small. Interesting...When a yacht is fined..for anything, the fines are not Given to any person, they on the yacht itself. Learning if a used yacht has fines before purchase can be a tricky because fines / incumbrance can be acquired worldwide.

Sea rays are very nice bobby. Up here in central Ontario Canada we see a lot of them. Great boats to cruise all the lakes up here from muskoka to the Kawartha lakes. Nice boat. I had a 370 Sundance in Singapore, with those same engines, shaft drive. A lot of problems with the engines, and very poor local support there with knowledgeable mechanics to service them. Hopefully, as these are new, you will be ok. The AC down below is not powerful enough to get any cooling up to the cockpit. Keep plenty of impellers for that generator. Looking forward to seeing the upcoming videos. Stay safe.

Enjoy your little runabout! Not a big fan on these old SeaRay express cruisers with galley down. Increased speed to reach destinations will be a plus everything else a negative on this boat! It will be an big adjustment for you and find yourself more often sleeping on shore. Hopefully, it serves it's purpose in the interim while you await your new IS 525. Also, please be careful with gas inboards & gas gen.
