Owner of 23 Off Road. It has the power of a 4 cylinder with the mpg of a v8. However its reliability is unmatched, and its the best looking Taco still. I love my truck.

I just got my 21 OR with only 20k miles. I couldn’t agree more with you. I am going to look into the OTT tune and re-gear as I have read it helps a lot and does mess with the reliability.

I have a 2018 TRD Sport, which is obviously a third generation. I LOVE it, and I am so glad I got it when I did back then because without the V6 I probably wouldn't buy a new one.

2023 has height adjustment on the driver's seat. Rear seats fold down flat if you remove the headset. On the bottom the the back seat (when folded forward) there are holders/storage for the headrest built into it.

Just recently got a 21 TRD Sport Taco in April after my 2005 LS Silverado took a nasty shit on my while driving, Brakes & Power Steering & Transmission all went at once!~ The Taco though was a Dealership demo vehicle for the Service Manager, Taco had 29K miles on it when I got it. So in reality it is still a new vehicle if what I read was correct!~ Since April I have modified it so much so, it feels more mine now then it did when I got it!~ My Taco & V6 badges were chrome till I got the black out covers for them!~ I guess that TRD did not have power drivers seat!~

Maganson makes a supercharger kit for the 3rd get taco! Also if u wanna go hard and fast, hit whoops, dunes, and small jumps get billsteen 8112s & 8110s double bypass! Yes they are $$$$ but if u like to party. Trust me those are the shocks u want!

Toyota's V6 have the fuel economy of a V8 and power of a 4 cylinder...I had a 2019 TRD Pro, while I liked the truck, it wasn't the greatest, very low on power, plus I had paint and brake problems, I moved up to a 2023 Tundra, which I like, but again, it isn't problem free! It's a great platform to build a good 4x4 rig, if I were to buy a 3rd Gen, I would buy a Tacoma Trail Edition, mix of value and off road performance! Good Review, just subbed!

Thank you for the comment & sub! The 3rd gen is a good mix for sure.

Going to get a new (to me) truck soon. Probably going to be my forever truck and ride it till the wheels fall off. I’m stuck between a ranger or a 3rd gen Tacoma. Any advice?

From our experience, the Tacoma. But it depends on what's most important to you!

Unless you get a much older ranger the new ones are not built that well I would definitely go with a third gen Tacoma but you're just gonna pay a lot more for it
