I own 2013 VW CC 1.8 TSI, the car interior was awesome, the leather seats condition still maintain really well, I can’t find any car Mercedes or BMW leather seats can match it. So far only the 7 speed dry DSG mechatronic failed and I just changed it to 6 speed wet DSG. So far the car never failed. The ride and handling is awesome. DCC still working well. The cabin is quiet even at 120km. Never regret getting this car. Compared my previous BMW 325i E90 give me endless problems.

you can't prevent carbon build up completely, but you can reduce it by changing the oil early-so after max 5 000 mi / 8 000 km a car used mainly on longer journeys has less carbon build up than a car used mainly on short journeys and don't be afraid to rev up the engine after proper warming up of course

As soon as my 2012 VW cc hit 89k miles I got sensors going out and the water pump going out. The intake manifold is also an issue on these cars but under 100k it’s under warranty. I’m now at 92k miles and it creeks a lot. Rattles a bit too. For under 100k I’m surprised at how much money it’s taken in repairs. I would not recommend it at all.

Hi, nice reviews. Been watching all of them. I have a few questions, hoping you are active to respond to comments. Are you hungarian? what cars from 2005 to 2013 would you recommend for reasonable maintenance cost? Plus for 2016 -... what manufacturers would you say are solid, german, japanese, korean?
@differentcarreview-dcr6 жыл бұрын
Hi yep, I am hungarian, but I speak slovak language as well -you know it's hard to tell, but generally the most reliable cars are equipped with a regular naturally aspirated 4,6 or 8 cylinder petrol engine which has regular injection, so not direct injection -japanese and korean brands are usually reliable and they have a lot of naturally aspirated petrol engines to choose used german cars require more attention to the regular maintenance / preventive maintenance = higher maintenance costs to keep them running, so it really depends on your personal preference

Ive had my 2012 CC 2.0T since new. It’s about to be 2018 and thus far, I’ve only had 1 mechanical issue with it, which was fixed free with the power train warranty. I’ve tuned my car a bit to reach around 310hp. I always get compliments on my car, people break their necks to check out my car as I drive around (because it’s an unusual model and rare to find here in Boston MA). But what has intrigued me most, is the interior quality. Yes, its had some cheap plastic parts, but compared to its competitors, the quality is actually really good (something you must experience owning one to notice). The leather on the seats (with regular conditioning maintenance) is as mint as when I first bought it. I’ve seen BMW’s and Benz that released around 2012, and their leather wore out bad, like really bad. You’ll find discoloring, or the leather cracks and gets wrinkly or stretched. My leather seats are mint, no ware. And for leather seats, that’s an oddly rare quality. My CC has successfully assisted me in scoring a ton of women lol no joke dude. That tells me a whole lot about my car. Boston is so filled with Benz BMW and Audi, that my CC ALWAYS grabs the attention as the nicest VW many people has seen. It pays to be different and the highlight of the line of cars at a traffic light :)

Tim Goldsmith yea I have a 2012 cc luxury and it’s great. I bought it used in early 2015, have had no problems. I think it’s a classy looking car. I think black is the best color in this car in my opinion. I had a 09 Passat before the cc. Very similar cars, the cc just looks better.

Tim Goldsmith after all those months, did you have any problems or reparations to do on the car? I am looking to buy one!
