I've watched 3 times. I like the buckskin filly, the chestnut colt yearling and his brother. As colour is important, I think you will go for the buckskin filly and you wanted an Andalusian when you first started looking. Good luck Tara, hope you get what you want. Andalusian all the way!! They are definitely my dream horse...along with a Friesian of course!! If you need inspiration watch the end of Ladyhawke. I die everytime from the sheer beauty of those two amazing horses. Plus temperament and intelligence I feel Anadulsian has a leg up so to speak. You are a lucky girl Tara!

I like the Chestnut colt and his older brother. Looks, spirit, movement and sociability. My knowledge is scant but I've been spoiled with several years of daily videos of Apollo and Farouk. A very high bar for a newcomer.

Some beautiful horse flesh there!! The chestnut filly and the chestnut colt (with full brother) stood out to me. The filly is certainly a looker and with the colt you can see what to expect in the near future. So hard to decide as thy change so quickly but you are obviously looking at the genetics etc to get what you want. What ever you choose will be lovely.

Unfortunately I cannot make up my mind which I like the most of all the foals because I am worried about Farouk. I have grown very fond of him and I am sure he is happy and contented to be with you and Rens and if you were to sell him he may not find such a good home. Sentimental I know, but will say, choosing a new foal can be similar to buying a puppy, the one that you take home is the one that chooses you when you visit them in person. Best wishes to you all M

Hi Tara. Just on the basis of the videos, two that stand out for me are the buckskin filly - I like the way she holds her head - and the chestnut brother, partly because he’s a bit older. It would be nice to see the parents too. It’s that 60 landmark number for you - I would be thinking how long do i intend to wait before i can back him/her? For that reason I definitely wouldn’t get a foal. Another question is colt or filly?

Definitely love the last chestnut brother. My favourite. Gorgeous animal. I also liked the colt that came after Mr. Expensive. I think you will chose the chestnut with no white. However the last foal was very pretty but hard to tell what her conformation might be like since she was lying down. So exciting! Can’t wait for more! 😃

The best personality I saw was the dark bay warm blood filly with a star on her forehead. Love her way of going, and she seemed inquisitive and bold. The other one I like is the two year old chestnut with blaze rabbit chasing Andalusian, although I wonder if he is biddable. But I just love the way he moves, bold, decisive, and very agile. So my faves are the first (she's my #1) and the last. The missing piece of information is height. Do all of these fit into 15.3 to 16 hands framework that you need? For some reason I feel you may be drawn to the muddy buckskin, but not sure why. Xoxoxo

Hi Tara, I have three i like:- The first horse i liked was shown first which is the dark bay I think you said it was a filly. This seemed to have a good disposition and moved nicely. Not sure if my second one i liked was third or fourth horse but it was the black colt. Lovely mover and form. The next one i liked was the buckskin. Lovely face and seemed good tempered plus nice mover. I think its betwern the buckskin or the dark bay. I think you may choose the two yesr old or the buckskin. Happy hunting.🎈🎈

I can't say just by looking. I also am not sure if they meet your height criteria. The last chap was full of vim, an agile mover and a rabbit hunter. I liked him. I liked the first bay filly with the little white star on her forehead ... but the buckskin was also outgoing and confident. In the end, it has to include personality and chemistry. Have you looked into horses from Exclusive (or Executive) Dressage yet? They are based in California but have quite a few horses homed in Europe. They have horses sired from Furstinball. (Sp). The white speckled one is beautiful!

I watched the video twice, and the first thing I noticed with the warmbloods are, the extended gait, which looked really pretty, but the down side for me was the tripping and stumbling, so they’re out. Now, what impressed me the most were the last two, they had a beautiful coat and they could turn on a dime without fault, the gait was within reason, not extended, so that’s what I would choose. I can’t wait to see what your pick was!

Tara, I think you still want to find an Andalusian. I know you want a filly, but you could be drawn to a colt. These are great video clips. I like the first dark bay with the star. As you were talking about what you are looking for I felt this youngster ticked off each requirement. Love the movement, drive from the rear, lightness on the front end, fluid changes from one gait to another whether speeding up or slowing down, and the response and quietness with the handler at the beginning was awesome.

I think it's a matter of them getting to know each other and their temperaments. I have had one mare and two gelding in one field with no problems some years ago so I am not worried. I was originally only thinking of geldings but I am now seriously considering both.

Not that I presume to know anything about horses but I liked the second colt and the light brown filly and the younger brother of the last chestnut in the field. Least favorite color is the buckskin. I love the white blaze (if that’s what u call them) on their noses. No idea what you’re leaning toward. Fun to look at them. Think I’ll watch it again! As I watched again, I’m thinking I like the chestnut yearling best that we saw as the young foal.

I really like the older brother at the end. An advantage of choosing an older colt is you can have a better idea of his height and he will be ready to ride sooner. If you think your age is a factor you might want a horse that can be saddle ready quicker than a yearling or a newborn filly or colt. Can’t wait to see who you lean towards.

Tara, the conformation of the two Black Colts was very good. The first (Mr. expensive) moves well, as did the second (same sire as Mr. Expensive) but had beautiful coloring. The first little Bay Filly was just not your horse. The last Sorrel (Chestnut in England) was all around good ... but will be very much like Farouk in personality and temperament, I think. You have mentioned the B day, a few times, so I am inclined to think something in between Apollo and Farouk is what you want. If you don't take one of the Black Colts, perhaps waiting for the new foals to grow a bit is the answer. The new one, in the photo, if the proper personality, is quite beautiful .... and is Andalusian ...... a most likely good choice. Teach him to kneel for easier mounting. I am partial to well mannered, dependable geldings, so the Fillies, although pretty and well together, just don't win with me in the end. I am a bit biased so I may not be a good one to suggest any choice (unless you want to raise foals.)

I like the Scottish warm blood filly . She seems to have everything you’re looking for and is quite calm. But I think you might go for the buckskin Andalusian filly because you’re interested in the unique characteristics of different breeds.

Have you had dealings with a fully/mare? Kind of hard to judge confirmation at a young age. Have to look at dam and stud. Babies parts grown at different speeds. The spotted guy gets my vote. Good luck (they are all lovely).

Okay so here I go 🤗 my absolute fave is the buckskin filly. Her carriage is gorgeous and her markings are lovely. When the other horses were mucking about, she kept her cool which I thought was an excellent sign. I’m sure you’re looking for a sensible horse that isn’t too reactive and I thought that appeared to be her personality. I liked the chestnut yearling colt too. He was also quite sensible and looked splendid but I favour the filly more. His one year older brother is lovely as well but I thought he was a little too wired. And I must say, the new foal in the final shot looks like it has magnificent markings and great colour so it will be interesting to see how that one pans out. How fun for you being able to take your pick!! 👏👏

Hi, Tara. I'm not sure how you can make an easy choice among all of those beautiful youngbloods. Personally - once Friesians are sidelined - I've always been attracted to horses with dark manes, tails, and stockings with contracting bodies, just because of the artistic beauty. Whether they are light buckskins or dark chestnut, the contrasts have always been very appealing. Perhaps it's because I am a quarter Native American (though I look 100% Scots love both of my very fair-skinned Scots grandfathers with their red hair) and was always fascinated with Indian ponies and horses. We lived in western states near the ocean a few times and saw so many of those hardy horses with the varied skins. They were so admirable in the tolerance to harsh nature and hard work. Whatever you select, I am wondering if the small Chief Inspector and Property Manager with have First Right of Refusal on any newcomer. Also, while we can expect Apollo to be kind and nurturing, what provisions are you making for extra tantrums when Farouk realizes that he's no longer the Baby of the Family. : )

I don’t think you will go for a filly as you said before she would be too distracting for Apollo and Farouk. I would think you would go for the youngest brother as you wanted foal and he is only 1 yearling. I would go for the older brother he really looks as if he enjoys himself. But I don’t know anything about horses only the things that I have learnt from watching your videos I’m just going on looks and the way they are in the field. Have you considered an Irish Sport Horse? The ones I have known have had fantastic temperaments, were easy to train, people friendly, and importantly really comfortable rides. What are you going to do with Farouk and Apollo? The trouble with a foal is you can never be sure how tall they will grow and with a warmblood you will be going on 64 before backing it!

For me it’s the buckskin filly 100%.... I’m only used to mares, I’m guessing there’s the potential for fun and games with your boys, however lots of people have both and it works. A lady I follow on Instagram has just received her 4 year old PREstallion after a 5 day journey from Spain... this is her 3rd ... all geldings. Wondering if Tara might also neuter a female, I looked up the term for a fixed mare, but apparently it's so rare and dangerous that there's no term for it besides "fixed mare." And thus it is now it's obvious to me that Tara would never risk it. So I learned something while haranguing you. Thanks for that. And maybe it's possible gelded males might still have some reaction to a female in heat. It's eminently likely you know better than I. I'm not as interested in horses as I am in the synergy between Tara and these two mighty warbeasts.

Texas Jack Yes..I own horses:I have two geldings and a mare who does spray in the boys faces and yes they still get urges tbh. Which isn’t too much of a bother perhaps if your not riding or hacking your horses...it could still make the boys a bit excitable around her when In season and not quite so passive . Mine are field ornaments ..but I prefer the geldings over mares tbh.

Choices, choices!! I favor the boys, but that Andalusian buckskin filly was gorgeous. The little black warm blood with white socks was a lovely mover. Also, the newborn Andalusian could be fab. Ohhhhh. So exciting! When are you making a choice?
