So does the power supply also work like a short killer? For low voltage application? I noticed the current is constant. Could you try plz a 0.5-0.8v 5 amp on some short to try. I would like to get one if it works. Fit also nicely on the desk instead of having a bulky power supply.

Help! I'm not new here. I flash Magneti bluetooth modules with an old Linksys cut off power supply. 12v 1.8a and works perfect. I try my Riden R6012 power supply same settings and nothing. Why?

Sorin, One and only bad side of that power supply is that it is not LINEAR. It has no transformer.

It doesn't have a switching power supply either, you get what you put into it, which means you need a power source.

It's not really a power "supply". It's circuitry that allows you to limit the current or the voltage.
