So I bought my first E28! After that 535 sold for $50,000 on BaT Bring a Trailer in June and Tyler from Hoovie's Garage bought his e28 I had to get on this.
It's a 1984 533i. I saw this car for sale on eBay a few weeks ago and knew I had to buy it. The seller took it down from eBay after someone tried to buy and have it shipped to Mexico. After searching the VIN a week later it was listed instead on Craigslist outside Portland, Oregon.
After some difficulty contacting the seller due to their email box bouncing emails - I was finally able to get a contact number to talk about the car. I convinced the seller to allow me to buy the car and have it transported from Oregon to Connecticut - thanks again Mike and Rita.
The original owner sold this car in July 1987 to the second owner, who has kept the car in amazing condition and service for the last 31 years. I will share more details about the car in new videos coming soon.
