Hi Andrew. I wish I lived closer, I'd fix the crusher, for free. The belt can be repaired, or replaced. I've done a bunch. I replaced the belts on the exact same crusher. I'm retired now. I have two dogs also. Feed a big rope, (or cable) through and around the crusher and pull the belt back in with the skid steer. You'll have to splice in a new section. I use four pieces of 2×4 and nuts and bolts to make my own belt clamps, then use small ratcheting cable come a longs to pull the belt together. Use a piece of plywood to slide under the belt sections to make the repair on a flat surface. Make sure to loosen the return pulley all the way. I always made my splice repair at the start of the incline, maybe four feet up, on there piece of plywood. They make several types of splice kits. You can do it. I have many times. Hi again. If you replace the whole belt, measure the old one, then cut the new belt at least one foot longer, so you can cut a hole in the end to pull it through. New belt, one splice, old belt, two splices.

Thanks, that pretty much describes the way It got done, I had a belt company come help me, but I guess if I had to do it again I can do it.

Better off with no splices or zippers, it just wears out the poly bars in the bed. Best way is to have it mended one piece if they are coming out to fix it and u already paying. Next time get a belt used for demo

We had a D4 Cat with an articulating front blade that was used for clearing roads and creek crossings in the spring. I drove the Hell outa that one. The field tractors, and combines were all the big JOhn Deere models at the time, which was the late 60's and all thru the 70's. I am 66 now, but remember all the crazy farm eqiupment we had. We were building the BELL articulating dump trucks at John Deere before deere totally bought them out. I was in the fab dept welding the rear frame section of the large and the small trucks. Built very well with over engineered welds and design that is very rigid. Made in the USA with American steel. Only a few small casting such as Panhards and welding beam stop castings was imported on the structure of the frames.

Merry Christmas, man. I look forward to all your 2023 activities. Couple things that may help, if walking a hoe long distance tower it(boom all the way up, stick all the way in and bucket curled) because towering it saves on the under carriage. Walking for 15 minutes, resting for 10 also helps save wear and tear. When progressing a lift it wastes time and machine durability to be pushing backward into the lift. Dump the truck with all its load in one go so half is on the lift and half off. Then just push diagonally to each side until you have a windrow in the centre and spread that down the middle. Helps to keep a consistent lift height, perfect shoulders/crests and is fast with only deliberate movements. Now you just need a little 14H grader to really finish the collection and make your fleet super effective! I wish is could come play and help, it looks like so much fun! I get paid to do this stuff but to do it for fun would be awesome!

Good use of the bigger rock to form the road bed, when the crusher is repaired it will make a good top coat for it smoothing it all out.

Andrew is like the real life survival MMO. He builds his original base up (the Castle)... gets all the stuff he needs, then expands to a new spot to build it up.

That truck sliding backwards down that ice is a terrifying, helpless feeling. I can tell you’re not one to wait around to get things done. Thanks for the Christmas videos man.

Great decision to get the articulating truck. Moving that material is so much easier. You drive on it to crush most of that rock. GREAT idea! Cheers
