My first time buying weed was in San Diego in 2007, my friend sent me to a dude named Greg at a Subway restaurant and said look for the dude with the Afro. I walked in and saw a 6’2 155 pound white dude with an Afro making this lady’s sandwich. He saw me and I said, “You Greg? Ryan sent me”. Without missing a beat he said, “fuck ya bro, be with you in a sec.” Greg proceeds to stop making this woman’s sandwich mid lettuce pour and walked with me out of the store to his early 2000s Ford Ranger where he proceeds to pull up his backseat bench to reveal at least a dozen mason jars filled to the brim with fat nugs. He pulls out a scale and charged me $20 bucks for an 8th of weed. The best part was the fact that he walked back in and looked at the lady, who was still standing there in confusion, and said, “would you like olives or pickles?” Gotta love stoners

Very similar story, also from seventh grade. Knew my friend always had weed so I showed up with $70 and was gonna ask for a half (I had literally no idea how much even a gram was and how much the shit costs) but instead she was like "how bout you give me $20 and I'll give you a few grams. Long story short (too late) it was sum dick weed and probably like 87% oregano around it. Smfh lmao

Back in the 70's we bought what was called a "LID" which is a sammich bag filled to the top then lick & flip the bag closed. Back then NO one used scales. Back then you bought a bag you GOT a FULL BAG price was $15.00 believe me they weighed way over 28 grams. We didn't have plugs back then. We had what you call good friends & friend in need is a friend indeed.

fold top bags are great for weed because you can roll it into a tube shape and flip the top over the rolled up weed tube and lick it and stick it like a giant ass joint and it stays in a rolled up tube shape instead of a crunchy ass bag with loose air space in it and because there’s less air in the bag when you roll it up it doesn’t smell as strong throw into two bags do the same thing and boom almost smell proof

I remember 20 sacks, no not grams, that came later lol. I don't think I ever weighed 20 sacks. You handed a 20 and you got a bag with an apricot sized chunk of brick bud in it. You would have to use garden shears to grind it up and throw the seeds on the ground, the stems unless really large just got grinded up too lol.

Thiught you would enjoy a lil snap of my first experience. There was always a latch with a master lock on our garage freezer. Naturally this made me permanently curious from age 10+. Finally one day the freezer was unlocked. There was,what I now know, was at least 3+ lbs of herb (dad was growing in his closet). I didn't know what it was so I went inside and googled "green stuff in bag"🤣🤣. I then after a little research got linked, through some random online forum, a youtube video of a funny guy titled "how to roll a joint". In the thumbnail he had the orange zigzag papers, The same ones my parents always had a couple of on the coffee table. I thought they were just for "fixing" cigarettes. I had stolen kools from parents already, so I was set on smoking something different. I watched the video, did what he did in the video and smoked maybe 5 hits of my first ever WAY TOO TIGHT of a joint , got SUPREMELY STONED off of dad's ak47 . The rest is history. Been smoking trees ever since and am now a self employed extractionist. :)

Weed can be pretty intimidating for new stoners. Not weed itself, but getting a hold of it and learning how to smoke it. Let's be real, most people at least nowadays start smoking as a teenager or just under the age of 21, which is the legal age in most states to buy. Unless your boys got you into it and you learned a lot from them, I remember my first time buying from someone was pretty nerve wracking. My brother had bought some weed and shared some with me. I had only ever smoked once a few years ago with him and my other thc experiences have only been with carts/pens at high school parties. After rolling and smoking the weed my brother gave me, I just wanted more. Fortunately I didnt have to look too hard because I had just joined my college's freshman snap story where plugs were everywhere advertising. Having to message them, not knowing any terms and how much I wanted and if it was worth it, was scary. Then I had to send them an address and meet up with them, not knowing who they are. I just remembered being so intimidated of the whole thing, and I still do when I buy from random plugs. I try not to and prefer not to, but sometimes they're the only ones accessible. I've bought from a random plug about 5-6 times now and each time is pretty sketch, but it's all just in your own head. They're just trying to make money and any customer is a customer to them. Most of them are locals, so they're just driving around the neighborhood dropping off orders. I turn 21 in a little under 2 years, so buying from a random guy won't have to be the norm anymore. If anyone reads this and is thinking about buying from a random plug, just use your best judgement on whether the dude is chill or not. Other than that, it's just a business deal at the end of the day.

It's really weird for me because I've never really had the experience of buying from a plug. There was only 2-3 mos. that I used black market products before getting my card. During that time I just got everything through my son or my next door neighbor. When I'm in social settings or a group sesh and everyone's in their late 40s thru 60s telling stories about things they went through to get their weed, but I have no clue.
