Totally agree that the cars are heading to be actual classics, and the parts will become really hard to find, these iconic masterpieces are destined to sit in rich peoples garages never to see the light of day again, much like the classics of the past, Audi Quattros, E30 M3s, Sierra RS Cosworths etc, untouchable mythical beasts for the super wealthy.... Just had an idea...would love to see you do a Dick Johnson RS500 replica drift Sierra... 👌😂

Love these videos. If possible wish we could get an idea on what these cars are currently selling for and what a reasonable price would be. As someone, like myself, just looking more into these cars I'd love to have a good idea of if it'll be worth while to get a car like a R34. Some places I've seen asking 100-255k for a mint R34 and at that point I'd just get a used R35 for between 70-80K instead locally instead if the prices are that crazy for a R34 with 40-70K miles on it

20:46 I totally agree what he says about these new car fresh out in the market like GR86, 2022 Supra GR, 2022 Nissan Z (Fairlady Z) and more goes the list. Its hard to debate with you decision to spend $60K on a new car that has zero mileage or getting a iconic/legendary JDM car that will cause more maintenance down the road and that depreciates more when you drive it and put some more mileage in to it. That is one of my concerns if when I’m saving money can I put that money in to a brand new car or getting a JDM car that will work more along the way? Great video in these auction out in Japan.

Looks like the Japanese market is having the same effect as the NZ market atm - lots of high reserves, not a lot of selling, and a scared buyers market that doesn't want to spend the money that these things are going for. Having just sold a few 180SX's - theyre definitely coming down in price.

Japan Auto Auctions is not the only place to get JDM cars, we actually source out cars in all corners of the world. There are times its cheaper to buy cars here in Australia than in Japan, specially for the US market. Specially defected jdm cars, because of some aftermarket parts, etc. Some owners can't be bothered spending money to fix the defect, and they sell their cars cheaper. But we make more money on high end unicorn JDM's

I live in Canada and can tell you for sure 100 percent that if you don't have any experience importing cars from over seas don't. The cost of import is huge. The market value on these vehicles is very high at this point in time. If you watch the market you can get a great deal but it takes time and patience. In short yes buying a car at a Japanese auto auction is feasible. So long as you live in Japan. If your in Canada not so much. I imported a skyline a few years ago and it got crushed at the Canadian border. Lost my money and only answer I got was contaminated...
