Prices vary but i would say gemerally sticks are cheaper in Havana albeit not like it was a couple yrs ago. For example: you can still buy a box of Hoyo De Monterey Epi 2s for about $17/ stick where its $36-$40 abroad

Another good one! Man its a bit frustrating those hideous large warning labels which cover up the most important aspect of the rear box which is the date! And they "say" it's criminal liability if you remove them. Good thing is I remember while back somewhere you stated there was a merchant who would use a lighter to peel back the adhesive on label to show you the date. Cheers! Be well.

Thanks for another informative video Kimo! This shop alone seems like it’s worth a trip to playa del carmen. I will have to try those Ramon Ayones Perfectos Méx Regionals. Seems like there is very good value there at the moment

The Ramon Allones are great regionals. Somewhat pricey but for regionals they are more scarce. A year ago they were taught to find and only the Punch Duques were available, now it has switched and the Punch Mexico Regional is tough to find!

I was speaking with LCDH in Puerto Vallarta last week. They say the 2024 prices will be increasing next month. I picked up a box of 25 Partagas Aristocrats for $6500 MXN, so about $15US a stick. That includes shipping within Mexico. I’ve had very good experiences with LCDH in PV. Definitely recommend checking them out.

i have to tell you that we have much lower prices in europe (not sure about cohiba, but a cohiba lancero cost 83 euros, cohiba robusto 75 euro here, few weeks ago, a D4 is about 18/20 euro atm) but they have nice cigars over there, we really have basic supply in comparison to this shop. But the hoyo DC price ist verry good, heard of 90 euro over here. Montecristo maltes 62 euro in ger. thanks for the work mate, greetings from germany

Seriously, what the hell is wrong with these people buying cigars at these prices? I have smoked cubans and they have their particular flavor, but thats it. Sometimes you cant even taste that flavor because they're so plugged your cheeks get destroyed before you are half way through that thing. I get AJ Fernandez $5 sticks (New world selection) that are perfectly constructed and taste AMAZING.

Currently it's 25 is the stated limit to bring into Mexico per person. If you're flying in with your wife and kids (over 18) you can bring 25 per person as I would recommend. Where in Mexico are you arriving

I recommend seeking out custom rolls from LCDH shops in Havana or the LCDH Cancun (Reinaldo Gonzlez) or farm rolls from Pinar del Rio

Maybe the prices went up in Mexico because the IEPS (Impuesto Especial sobre Producción y Servicios) tax went up in 2024 by ~15% for tobacco products

No Adam. I won't be going this year. In truth I think it's going to be a cluster fuck bc they appear to be extremely unorganized. The tickets have not even gone up for public sale yet which tells me they don't have their shit together. How can tickets not be available to the public yet for an event that's a month away? How do ppl book travel without having tickets yet?

I planned on smoking a victory cigar with my father (beat stage 4 prostate cancer wahoo! that metastasizes to a small spot I his liver) & his father, my grandfather, Eagle Scout @ 14 & Air Force Officer & Veteran born in 1929 after our Atlanta Braves won the 2021 World Series! It never happened though. Life gets in the way and before we knew it my grandfather had passed. But my father is cancer free now, remission 2 years! I still would love to smoke that cuban cigar with him if I could ever find anything maybe a Hoyo Epicure No. 2 for us. New World HDM "Hoyo de Tradicion" in a Habano Rosado wrapper he truly enjoyed recently is why I'd like Hoyo I suppose. Kimo Kapaku, do you have an email? Neither my father nor I have ever had a Habano being in the states, but smoke cigars & sure would know how to appreciate one. I was rooting for the gentleman above & then realized hey....maybe, just maybe you could help us fulfill that smoke. It could be ANY Habano, really. I don't have Instagram or facebook

I dont know if you knew this but there are cigars that are actually better in flavor, quality and price that are very easy to obtain in the U.S. They are New world (NON-CUBAN) cigars.

Yes I know new world cigars. 4 yrs ago I took a private tour of the Fuente Factory in Santiago and smoked cigars with Carlito Fuente in his office. I have smoked many cigars from D.R. and Nicaragua and found my palate leaning towards Habanos. Smoke what you like and what you prefer is my motto..

Mexico has become a joke for Habanos. I’ve been to other LCDH stores and while they are more than they used to be, they’re nothing like the prices in Mexico. I purchased a box of the Davidoff Year of the Dragon, and while they’re not Cubans, they’re a phenomenal cigar.

I hear you bro and to be honest. I rarely buy sticks other than Maybe 1 or 2 in the $30 price range. I smoke mainly Reinaldo Gonzalez custom rolls whoch if yoy know who he is and his reputation, you would understand where me and a lot of habanos smokers are coming from.
