Habanos SA has the hold. Look, there are much better sticks out there. The quality of Cuban cigars has gone way down, given that everything is nationalized and marketed by Habanos. This is to be expected. Bad weather and lousy growing conditions have also reduced the quality. Skip it! It's not worth the money in any way. I will smoke a Fuente any day over a Cuban.

At what point does this insanity end? I got a box of Upm mag 46 for $450 in March and now they’re $750+. It looks like from the stock in duty free people are starting to look to alternatives. It seems like Cuba is overplaying their hand and it’s going to bite them. The places I get them seem to have a lot more in stock since the last hike so where do you see this going??? I’d buy the Partagas p2’s if I were there, very expensive but still about as cheap as you will ever find them in the uk, all the stock looks properly stored and humidified which is not always the case, properly stored and humidified stock is more important than price imoa
