What are you going to remember? That in a couple of videos from years ago he sat in a car that his son bought and they had a road trip together? Most of the rental companies tell you you're on your own for any damages to vehicles if taken off of state sanctioned roads in Alaska. A friend vacationed in Alaska 2019 and rented a 4Runner, drove it on a few non-paved roads (80% of Alaskan roads aren't paved) and brought it back full of stone chips and dents. How would they know you ask? GPS trackers on all cars. Driving off-road voids whatever insurance you purchased. With loss of use, depreciation and repainting over $7,000 as a charge back.
