I drive a toyota camry 2012 in USA, I bought mine with no mileage but as a left over in 2013 for $23,000 US....how much did your first car cost? did you negotiate? I heard from watching videos that bringing my car to portugal is too costly and that vehicles are expensive in portugal as well? I watch a lot of videos of moving to EU....I see that homes would be very affordable especially in villages which i am drawn to over city dwelling. Best of luck in your new adventure Yvon and Miguel:)

I paid less than €10,000 for my car. When I was buying it I tried to negotiate, but wasn't able to. That's what I've hear also, that second hand cars are still pricey. It's hard for me to say if that is true because I know very little about cars and their prices. Generally, it seems like people ask fairly high prices for second hand items.

Nice little car. In fact a Toyota Aygo, so it's a good one. Happy kilometers!

It looks like a nice car and I like the color red too. 🥰 I drive the national car. Basic stuffs to put inside your car are water bottles, wet tissues, tissue boxes, hand towels, pens, sunglasses, basic stuffs. Lol I don’t know how safe where you live. The security stuffs aren’t needed if car thefts are very low in your area of living.

Tissues and water are a good idea! Pens are handy also. As for sunglasses, I always keep them with my as I have ones with prescription.

Congratulations. 🎉 I worked 12 years in a Mercedes garage and I can tell you I'm really glad that you didn't buy that old one. Cheers.

Thanks! I'm happy with didn't go for that one either. The one I got in the end is really perfect for me. A good one to build up my confidence and put some km under my belt.

We do! It's such an easy way to get around. But not an option here, with all the hills. It's important to shop around and compare before you make a decision. I had to call my brother for some advice, because we were torn between two. He helped me pick the one I got in the end. Good call!

you do need a car in Spain. love from Canada.

How about Canada? I guess you need one there too? Here in Portugal you also need one when you don't live in bigger cities / towns.

Haha, should've looked into it. The house isn't ready to have a charging station yet.

Have you already Portuguese drivers licenses? Or does the licence state automatic only? As if you are bloggers I would have tried to get on of the 10000 Chinese EVs that are stuck in Rotterdam habour. They are cheap, automatic and a story worth telling as it combines your two worlds. Try to get an EV for under 10k.

Don't have a Portuguese license yet. I will use my EU one until it expires. Haha, that would've been nice! Maybe in the future I can do a collab with a car brand.
