Yes, risk of something catching fire is a lot less now. Hadn't thought of the mosquitoes, that's also a benefit, cause the LOVE me!

Calla lily and hydrangea go very well in that part of the country.

I have a couple of hydrangeas that are in not such a good spot (dark corner next to the garage), and I'm thinking of moving them somewhere else, maybe to the front (there's only morning sun).

You made great progress clearing out that overgrown front entrance! Azaleas, Camellias, Lavender & Sunflowers grow well in Portugal. Bougainvillea thrives in Central Portugal’s climate climbing on trellises & producing beautiful flowers.

Azaleas are a good idea. They're very pretty. Bougainvillea are also beautiful. Maybe I can put those in the back of the garden when we start organizing that.

Dear couple, for cutting (even green) wood, with a small diameter, use a "normal" carpenter saw, it works way better. Or a cutter for the tiny parts.I have the same saw, the teeth are too big for small wood and when the saw "jumps" iit can cut your other hand. Don't plant any flowers to your walls, and don't use walls as a storage place for tiles, stones, wood or what else. Walls are getting wet, mold will grow, roots from plants will damage your basement and sewer pipes.Wish you both a good time !, greetings from the Netherlands.

Hoi Ad! Bedankt voor je reactie! We hadden op dat moment alleen dit gereedschap voor handen. Veel van ons gereedschap is nog onderweg of moeten we nog kopen.

Probably similar tools, but sharper ones. Most likely some bigger shears, these were pretty small.

All these overgrowns breed tiny creatures and insects that can creep into the house and bite you. LOL

Believe me when I say they already do! I'm getting so many bites! In the first week I had to run to the pharmacy to buy stuff that would stop the itch and that would stop the mosquitoes from biting me.
