Hey you welcome brother. You gotta give credit to people that put in a lot of hard work to make something absolutely amazing! I hope to pick you brain on things some day. I’m going to start off slow with some bar top cabs then work up to a 2 player coffee table cab. Great inspiration my friend.

Small correction, but for best results, you should be trying to lay out the shaper tape flat. For longer strips you can replace those with a few shorter ones to maintain the straightness!

What do you think is the most comfortable button layout to play on?
@TheDanielSpies_Arcades
@TheDanielSpies_Arcades Жыл бұрын
In my opinion, you get used to any layout pretty quickly. As a general tip, I like the buttons to be pretty close together. It relaxes your finger muscles.

Hey Group I may have bitten off more than I can chew so at this point I’m just trying to save face. For the first time I built an arcade pedestal thanks to Daniel Spies. The pedestal is all wired up, the encoder boards are set with the x arcade button layout. I have a mini PC and the Hyperspin Hard Drive. I followed the instructions within the HDD but I can’t get Hyperspin to work properly with the pedestal, I think the only control I have is up and down in player one. Have anyone used this particular set up? Should swap this set up for a raspberry pi or something that requires less skill?

Looks awesome. One question, why do you say laser engraving in combination with the shaper? The Shaper is a router right? Not a laser. Please explain. Thanks in advance. Nice clip almost forgot, one more question, is this black MDF? I think it is so shiny (schittert)
@TheDanielSpies_Arcades
@TheDanielSpies_Arcades Жыл бұрын
You are right. Engraving with a CNC machine is not laser-engraving. It is just engraving :-) Sorry for the confusion. Yes that is black MDF but not shiny. It has a satin finish.

What tips or tricks did you come up with for powering and providing inputs off a single USB?
@TheDanielSpies_Arcades
@TheDanielSpies_Arcades Жыл бұрын
It was very easy. I made a very short USB to DC FEMALE cable that I plugged into the USB hub. This way the Ipac can draw just enough current to power the LEDS.
@asadrian3
@asadrian3 Жыл бұрын
@TheDanielSpies Thanks. I seem to have trouble with the trackball and power running off on USB Hub. The trackball is not recognized when I try to add the control in MAME.

@@asadrian3 did you wire the trackball correctly? It draws almost no power I remember 🤔

Makrolon AR is what my ATV windshield was made out of. Race car windows also use Lexan or Makrolon. Doesn’t yellow with time and exposure to light like plain plexiglass. Extremely abrasion resistant.
