I sooo agree! I have 4, now adult, children. They each had their own time-line, their own strengths and challenges. Thankfully, all were healthy and happy. I am certain, however, that knowing them as individuals and allowing each to develop at their own pace was critical in each of them, making the most of their talents and enjoying their lives!! Luce is such a happy, charming baby! I love to see her, along with her Mommy and Daddy, loving life!!!

I am a early childhood educator. Some of our kiddos can walk at 9 months, others wait it out until 22 months. By the time they hit school age there is absolutely no difference. physically. We call this asynchronal development. The important thing is that PLAY is always , always, the most important work of childhood. Nothing else matters more than play.

Luca reminds me of my son, he used shuffle like her, didn't walk till 15 months. He's now 27yrs plays rugby, runs & climbs mountains etc. She will develop at her own pace. She's a beautiful healthy child, well done mama & papa❤

Luca sure is a happy baby. My daughter, 32y/o now, never crawled on her hands and knees. She did the Army crawl using her arms, sometimes adding in a funny hopping movement. One day she just stood up and walked across the room and was on two feet from that point. What a surprise that was and I was happy to be there to witness her first trek on two feet.

We had a 27 ft. Motor home first. With 3 children. So I understand small areas but here in America we have camp grounds to park in that have showers and washing machines and dryers. Also they would have areas for fun like fishing, swimming pools, small stores. Things like that plus a dump area and you hooked up with water. We camped at areas that we could have as much of natural resources and areas to take walks of nature. Always loved it. When children grew up and we retired we bought a 47 ft Rv to travel in and bring the grandchildren to give them experience. So you are doing an awesome job with Luce. Sara,Luca and Luce what a loving beautiful family. From what I was told by my parents and grandparents I got around the same way as Luce. I did not walk until almost two years of age but I too was not pushed into walking I was left to go at my pace. When Luces mind and body are ready she will walk. Luce is such a delightful little girl and loved so very much. When she sleeps she even smiles. You two are wonderful loving parents. Take care.

I remember (but I don’t think about it often anymore), my daughter had to wear braces and she was about 18 months old. Her calves were severely bowed. It was a bit of work, and discomfort for a while BUT she grew up with beautiful legs! She played soccer (football), she took ballet & tap… and now, in her mid-thirties, she surfs and surf-skates and hikes… she has strong legs that have carried her well. One day, You will look back and say ‘oh, remember when Luce was pushing herself along on her bottom?’.

you are on a very special journey and it will be special for you to look back on all these lovely places and see your adorable daughter who adds joy to everything you do. The weather is strange and different everywhere in the world. We are in the high- desert of so. California where we are usually complaining of the heat and facing even higher temperatures in July and August. So far, it’s been at least 15-20 degrees cooler daytime and unheard of 60’s or less at night!! No complaining here, we are loving the change!
