This made my day. My cousin who is currently a junior used to buy rubbers to resell for the freshmen. He used to make double what he paid for the rubbers as profit. Then the freshmen found out they could buy it themselves or order them through Uber eats and the whole business went south.

I remember that my friend and I decided to not go to a pharmacy or anything, but the nearby Japanese Market since that was the closest place. So just imagine a 5’6 Mexican and then my 5’1 Asian friend just trying to look around for a good 15 minutes before we found it. What made it worse was the look that the employees gave us since there wasn’t any self checkout :’))

I'm about to tell a story that so similar it baffles me which is why I'm saying it So me and friend go to the nearby Ralphs because she wants to get a snack for a friend she hasn't talked to in 2 days so just picture me a 5'6 Mexican (I'm not lying about the height) getting asked by a 5'2 Asian girl constantly "should I get this" and I just use the power of human psychology to get her to choose on her own (even though it took a while) but she finally choose something and just the second hand embarrassment of anyone hearing the conversation. (There is some context missing here but you get the jist of it) If you will like to use the same tactics I used to speed this up while also going around the store at a good pace to know what around and your in this situation just say "if he doesn't eat it I will" cause that motivates them to think and find something they know the other will love

When I was that age I would act like I was cool with it when I was around my friends, but man, I was so shy and flustered. My husband and I waited till marriage. I think it was 3 days after the wedding, and I asked him if he wanted to "do the deed." He said yes, so we made a trip to Walmart. We go to the aisle and see that what we need is locked. We had to push a call button and wait for an associate to help us. He and I are awkwardly looking at all the products while people are passing by us. I was desperately trying to avoid looking at ANYONE. I kept my eyes locked on the.....stuff, or looked at the ground. When she finally reached us, we selected the.....goods and continued to shop. I'm here trying to cover up the label while my husband is grabbing some last-minute things. The wedding was 10 days ago. He and I are still learning some things 😅

I have a funny story with "rubber" candy! In my highschool years me and some of my friends where waiting in my bedroom for two of our friends (hopefully with snacks) to hangout in the livingroom, and after they broke into my house (it was something normal to do) and walk into my room they just throw at me one of THREE BOXES OF "RUBBER" CANDY. I was just like "TF WHY??? YOU GUYS ARE VIRGINS AND DON'T HAVE BOYFRIENDS " and one of them just say "...To make gigantic balloons :D" So yeah, we hangout in my bedroom making balloons with the "rubber" candy the whole afternoon

Ah yes, “candy rubber” my favorite candy. I remember my friends in 9th grade had a great idea to buy these “rubbery candies” not because someone needed it but as a joke and to embarrass ourselves I guess (lol) I acted like “pFft cant be tHat hard plus i dont wanna see like a scared bi- person. *Person.* So I tried to look calm going in but in reality I was absolutely t e r r i f i e d so we went the area where the “rubber candies are” and as a joke we decided to get the largest size as we can.. until it came to pay since the cashier was some old man we were scared 😭 LUCKILY we peacefully pressured a friend to buy it and the old man just gave my friend a death stare looking deep into his soul almost as if he wanted to say something, but he didnt and we bolted out of there. What did we do with them? Their intended purpose? No, my friend filled them up with water and then began assaulting us with comically large water balloons 1/10 wouldn’t reccomend

I actually did work as a cashier for some time and one of the first things we were taught is: If someone buys stuff like condoms, just ignore it. No matter how old the person is, just don't comment on it and act is if it's absolutely normal (because it is). My boss told me that's important because we want to make protection as easily accessible as possible, since a lot of people would just not use them if they were too embarrassed to buy them. Additionally, I can promise you that no cashier will fucking care lol. They're just doing their job, and will almost certainly forget your face within like half an hour lol

So I have an older brother (then 17) who wanted to do it with his girlfriend. He needed his rubber candy so I didn't become an aunt. I (then 15) needed to come with him because I wanted some stuff from the same store. We get there and I get all my stuff and he gets his rubber candy. We’re ready to check out so we walk to the cashier and give her the stuff. She gets to the rubber candy and goes, “OoOoOoHhHh, who's the girl~” My brother responds shyly, “Oh her name is Jenna (not her real name)” The blood drained from her face when she heard that. She responds shakily, “Jenna (last name), from (our school), that Jenna!?” That was her mom My brother goes, “Yes, how do you know?” She says she’s her mom and my brother practically faints. Turns out he was supposed to meet her parents when he went to do it. Luckily, she didn't make a huge scene about it and just let us go. Six years later, they are now married and we still joke about it.

I have a kinda similar story, when I was like 11 or 12 me and my sister already knew about the birds and the bees. We learned about that stuff at a young age, but what we didn't really know about was contraceptives. AND ONE DAY my mom's friend asked my Dad if he had any... 'Rubber candy' because she was going on a date and my Dad said "Yeah but it's like 20 years old, I just use it to hide my keys... So you should probably buy your own" so my dad gave her some money and she went and bought her own for her date. Well me and my sister (mostly my sister) were curious about what she was asking for so my Dad got out the 20-year-old 'rubber candy' and showed my sister what it was and how it worked, I was completely oblivious to the situation for a good few minutes because I was busy playing Minecraft on my laptop until Miss Monica (not her actual name but we're using it for the sake of the story) who was Miss Rosie's (the lady that asked for the 'rubber candy') sister saw what was happening, dropped her cigarette and said "What is that little girl holding" and my Dad said "She wanted to know what Rosie was asking for... And if my daughter is anything like me she's going to need to know what this stuff is" and when I heard that I took off my headphones and looked at what was happening and my Dad explained it to me. My sister at this point was touching that thing and stretching it to see if she could break it. So I grabbed a chopstick and very lightly poked the 'Rubber candy' and as soon as I did that it broke and I got freaked out and ran behind my Mom 😅 That's all I remember from the story

This video sent me rolling laughing. Then I remembered the first time I bought the rubber. So my bf usually buys it and one day he asked if I could buy it. I said sure because I thought he would come with me and I would pay for it, but no. Instead he wanted to wait in the car and sense we where already at the store I just went in anyways by myself. At this store the rubber is usually locked behind glass and you'd have to ask an employee to unlock it. So I went to an employee and calmly asked if he can show me where the rubber was so he can unlock it and I could grab some. Around this time it was very late at night so I'm gonna assume his response to my question was because he was tired from a long shift. He asked me why. I was just internally screaming to myself because I had no idea what to say and I still regret to this day what I said. I told him I wanted to make balloon animals. I freaked out inside and turned beet red and so did he and I believe to be the manger was right behind him at a counter who bursted out laughing so hard. The manager motioned the clerk towards him and told him where they kept the keys for the rubber. I wanted to just sink into the ground and never come back, but I had a mission. The clerk grabbed the keys and walked over to where the glass case would be, but apparently they got rid of it and neither the clerk or the manager knew about it. The clerk and I had a little chuckle as I kneeled down and looked through the rubber. The clerk started walking away and for some reason said very loudly to me, "good luck". Then he seemed to of walked faster away. Then for some reason I shouted thank you at the man then ran the opposite way. The story doesn't end there though. I also had to buy ice cream, strawberries, and whipped cream for sundaes. I had the strawberries and whipped cream in my cart as I was looking through ice cream. Just then a very old lady came by and she looked in my cart and saw the food next to the rubber. As I grabbed my ice cream and turned around was when I saw the old lady looking into my cart and at me with disgust. I grabbed my cart and ran off. When I checked out and got back to the car I told my bf I am never doing that again and when he asked why he died laughing at my story.

There was a time when me and my boyfriend had to buy the "rubber candy" and we knew which isle to get it from, the only problem was when we were about to pick it up from the shelf, we noticed there was a small child (probably around 5 years old) stood there, staring at us. One day back in the 8th grade my friend asked me to get her a couple rubber candy’s cause she was to scared to get them. (the school nurse gave them out for free in her office) I didn’t mind but I didn’t wanna go alone so I asked her to at least wait outside the nurses office. We went during lunch, and as I was trying to act cool and chill in front of my friend, I got very nervous as soon as I saw the nurses in her office. She asked me what I needed and I shyly asked her for a couple rubber candy’s, but I didn’t want her thinking it was me who needed them so I told her my friend was outside her office and asked me to go in for her. As I’m looking outside the nurses office I noticed my friend dipped, so I’m awkwardly standing there, the nurse gives me the rubber candy’s and says have a nice day with an awkward smile. Later I found me friend gave here the rubber candy’s and told her she owes me.
