also there's a time to cut hay and a time not to depending on the weather. it needs time to dry and turn to straw before you bale it and if you cut it and it rains a lot while it's cut you've lost it.

Just a heads up, tractors will last a long time only if properly maintained. First and foremost: make sure to stay on top of usual maintenance. Second: don't push the machine. Avoid high RPMs to prevent stress on the hydraulics.

Probably shy away from rippin, if you're able. Tractors are for putting torque to the wheels and PTO.....in other words...WORK.......

They could implement the use of Tractor tools to use on these fields, offer to sell Bales of Hay to the surrounding area, for farm animal feed. Buy a Baler, Hay Rake, Tedder & Bale accumulater.

Kubota of Chattanooga covered a broken spindle under warranty for me 2 years ago on my 60” zero turn. Absolutely love the brand. I wanted a diesel z turn but the only one they had in stock was in the $30k range so I passed. Went with a Z781EFI 30 hp gas one.

YA'LL should also look into getting an older single axel dump truck without air brakes (so u don't need a CDL license) to pull the tractor and attachments. You're going to be moving a lot of dirt, gravel, etc. and coming from a guy that does construction believe me it will come in very useful. You can pick a good one up for 5,000 to 10,000. Don't mow too fast, there are clutches on the bush-hog drive line that can burn up. You will find out eventually. And if you turn too tight your rear tire knobbies will catch the hydraulic lines running back to the mower. Ask me how I know. You will keep some extras on hand.
