When this truck launched, it was an awesome time to be a Ford dealer. We had Lightning, we had Cobra and we even had the little SVT Focus. People would grab this truck and slap underdrive pulleys on them, add a Johnny Lightning intake, maybe do a tune and a few weeks later they'd have a hole in the bottom of the block. As time went on, it was harder than hell to find one that hadn't been flogged to death. This example is a damned time machine and I'm jealous that you bought it. What a fun truck to have!

I was told to jump start a customers Cadillac sedan that had been brought in and was getting ready to remove the cover to the trunk release (electric but had a outside covered key) and discovered the back doors were unlocked, the front were electric. I could just get in the back seat and reach over to pop the drivers door. The ground was wet and I didn't want to have to clean my wet shoe prints off the rear seats so I took off my shoes to avoid making a mess.

For a Wisco car, that is clean! Living in the Dairy State myself, I have never had a car go to scrap due to a critical drivetrain or electrical failure, only ever for rusting out of crucial structural components...

Happy for you that you bought a great truck at a fair price. The seller took good care of the Lightning. Now just detail and maintain. Don't sell it.

I bought one of these new in Miami in 2004. It was black and extremely inconvenient. Two small bucket seats with no extra room. Couldn't even get comfortable with my girlfriend because of the center console. The engine was solid, but the front end started to give up after two years. Needed tie rods and such... I got the Borla exhaust, timing chip, and blower pulley to make over 400 HP and since I lived in Key West and fished for a living, it was the fastest fish truck on the island. ... And I never had a Miata pull away from me! 😂

That’s a very nice Ford F-150 Lightning Tyler! I like this way more than the electric F-150. Something about a supercharged v-8 and sporty exhaust excites me! You saw probably a 2020ish CaseIH Magnum Rowtrac tractor and a large corn planter when driving.
