Me too presently own CB 350 highness. Butterly smooth and reliable machine. Since I have done a lots of long rides on this and I feel, I do deserve an upgrade with more power. Hence I have been doing lot's of market research on my new buy. And believe me as Ballu Bhai said, I too was anxiously waiting for this particular model. Now since Honda has fulfilled it's promise. I am sure.... I am going for this machine. God be with all of us.

Great points. It all comes down to the budget, usage and our priorities. I have owned multiple RE, Bajaj and KTM models. Was least worried only with KTM. While looking at cost effectiveness, we end up spending more time visiting showroom for trouble shoot. If we are lucky, we night get a good set or we end up worrying a lot. Honda is expensive but quality and reliability is default. So at the end as you said, if we can afford it, its a great bike.

First time commenting on one of your vlogs and totally agree with you. Am coming from a Tiger 800 XCX and a Speed Twin 1200 but surprisingly quite happy with a Dominar. Really wanted the CB500X but pricing issues and availability was a downer. Would get this in a jiffy if I can work out finances. This one ticks all the boxes for me.

Honda recently launched Transalp 750 in last September or October 2023. Now it has launched NX500 replacing old CB version. This Transalp & NX500 looks very similar in styling but both have their differences but not too far from eachother except on road price. What are your thoughts on these two comparisons? Internationally transalp is much preferred as they see it as baby Africa Twin and has great power for everyday use. If you do side by side comparison then that'd be great for people who are confused within these 2 hondas. Im glad you are taking your time to do such in-depth videos to make people understand about motorcycles unbiased 👏.

Honda is Honda. There is no competition for them. One of my friends recently purchased the CB350. After riding it for just a few kms, I would say there is going to be no motorcycle in the 350cc retro segment that can even come close to it.

I love how honest and detailed your reviews are. Big fan of your work. I am convinced with the quality and performance of the Japanese manufacturer bikes but a friend of mine who owns a CB300R has had terrible experience in terms of part availablity and after-sales service. His bike has spent months in the service centre and has returned with issues still unresolved and parts unavailable. This is more a Honda problem coz it is not the case with Kawasaki. I am sure I want to upgrade to an adventure tourer and NX500 sits in that sweet spot. But I am very concerned with the part availablity, service quality and in general attitude of Honda BigWing. Can we expect Honda BigWing to improve on this front? Secondly, my purpose is city riding and highway touring in a 50:50 ratio. I don't do offroading or even trails and not interested in it too. So, in that case is it worth spending extra on NX500 or a 390 Adv (2025 ideally) or a Himalaya (tuneless wheels) do the job for me? I own a FZ250 and have done over 2000kms long trips on it. Would be great to know your thoughts on these

Respect for this video. The entire internet is comparing himalayan with nx 500 however in this video it is really explain s2 why 500 price is justify and how it is a bike in a completely different league alltogether and should not be compared with himalayan. The additional bugs that you pay are for the tubeless rims as well as better compound tire way better specs. Better brakes absolutely zero wind blast amazing centre of gravity which leads to better balancing of the bike premiumness overall high quality bike with Honda traction control which is one of the best across all

I think it's not worth spending 7L for a Linear powered 500cc twin Cylinder. Better to buy a used Versys 650 at 5L for road trips (it will have all accessories) and a new xpulse worth 1.5L for city and offroad. U still left with 1.5L amount (saved 1L from buying all touring accessories for Nx500 i.e. guards, light, top box ) use that amount for fuel and wear n tear parts.

Highlights : "...ye kar kya raha he :P " "...paisa kharch kahan hua he" 100% practical points and the exact thoughts that were in my mind when I rejected Himalayan 450 & Versys 650 and booked NX500. Its a Do-it-all machine and can be used and taken anywhere effortlessly and without any worries. Yes, we pay a big premium but again, we are getting quality product, bulletproof smooth honda engine, parallel twin, honda's reliability and cheap maintenance compared to kawasaki and others. Overall its a good machine if you are going through mid life crisis ;) and have average budget and want an all rounder and keeper motorcycle.

Bulu sir, I need perfect bike for long touring purpose. In don't go for off-roading but worst rate roads are encountered where I expect ride to be comfortable. My needs are 1) reasonable power and pick up on highways - engine can be upto 400 CC, 2) Most comfortable ride quality, 3) best quality suspension, 4) flawless breaking, 5) It should not have any problems if I fit the bike with aluminium top box and saddle boxes - no vibrations and handle wobbling, 6) It should be easy to ride during occasional traffic encounters. I usually drive in the speed range of 80 to 120 only and don't like raving at very high speed. The bike to be pleasure to ride and reasonable maintenance expenses. Kindly suggest suitable bike. I don't have brand preference - any brand would do. Thanks

Tyre cost, Service cost and service network(outside metro) are the only pinch points of CB500x, looks like is gonna be the same for Nx500 as well. one time purchasing expense is still understandable consideing Honda realiability. Regular maintanece / operational cost (excluding fuel) will be at least 70% AfricaTwin, buyer needs to be prepared.

This is the bike I've been waiting for such a long time. The perfect adv touring twin cylinder machine from Honda this time at decent price point despite being a CBU unit. But being a beginner, I want to get into the world of motorcycling hence going with CB350 or meteor 350 as I want to tour as well and my requirements as of now matches with both these bikes. Hence gonna test ride both of them for longer durations and gonna pick one for atleast 3 years. NX500 is a very good upgrade for those who're looking for an upgrade from 300-350 cc and you can feel the character of a twin cylinder engine. Hopefully NX500 this time sells in good numbers there by forcing Honda to manufacture this bike in India which will reduce the price of this bike by a lakh. At 5.9L ex showroom this is a very capable tourer with Honda's reliability.

@@wilsondsouza19 One ideally shouldn't compare both bikes because of their purpose, engine and obviously the price. One is a tourer and the other is a offroader and tourer. You cannot go wrong with the NX500 because it has such a great reputation across the globe for over a decade. This bike was launched in 2013 and been on sale since then. Yes obviously the price is the only factor where people hate Honda but being a CBU unit its priced decently well this time. You can find videos of people clocking more than 2L km on the cb500x which speaks about its reliability. But yeah! One has to cross that 7L barrier to own one. I would like to own this bike one day for sure if its available in India. Hopefully it stays in our market and meanwhile Honda starts localizing their premium bikes in India reducing their prices by huge margin.

Bulu bhai, I respect your opinion for your real world experience. I agree nx500 is great bike but i will buy it from you as used bike :), thats reality of people like me. Reality of life, people who can afford don't have time or own for the sake of possession. Honda, could have offered 'formidable' cb300f engine based adventure tourer, or adventure scooter 350, that would have been easy recommendation. Presently 400x makes great offering. I was willing to pay for adventure 160 or 350 honda maxi scooter in cbu route anc pay import charges, but Honda doesn't want customers like me. Imagine, these are same people who brought activa, unique product, which they never learnt from,ie, accessible Innovative offerings. Although, truimph and harley have learnt their lesson.

Always wanted to get the cb500 but had to get the himalayan a couple weeks ago. If i had known this would only be 3~ lakh more i might have hesitated. Honestly i love the himalayan. The suspension is unbelievably good, i really cant imagine it being better than this. Its pretty refined, i did around 80kms riding at 110 to 120 and i did not find the buzz too bad. Ive felt my fz v3 was more buzzy than this in the highway. The tripper dash is also super premium and being able to see the whole map makes a lot of difference. For this price the himalayan does a lot of things incredibly well.

Bulu bhai is it worth the extra 2.5L for the nx500? Or the Himalayan would be more practical choise? I understand the fit and finish and quality is better in nx500 but is it worth the extra amount ?

Sir value for money definitely Himalayan, but if u want a slightly more classy bike then Honda

@Bulu Pattnaik Bro: Honda's reliability, fit and finish are what I am attracted to. my 1st bike bought and currently in use Honda SP125 OBD2 E20 2023 model. I am planning to upgrade to a higher cc for touring purposes. Honda NX500 seems perfect for me, would you suggest to jump directly from 125cc to 500cc? Please share your insight in any of your coming videos.

How about interceptor? It offers more torque and a parallel twin engine in almost half the price
