Got some Falken tires for my wife's Equinox several years ago. Great tire. Was interested in getting some wild peaks for my Tacoma, but when I needed tires, unfortunately those were not in the budget. Glad those are working well for you. Nice! Very Nice!

Just bought tires for my wife's car and had them installed on Wednesday. Oddly enough I checked all the tire places by me including Walmart and Sam's club. Costco was the cheapest. Doesn't charge for installation, has the same tire disposal fee as walmart BUT has a 5 year warranty on the tires AND will fix flats, do tire plugs, and rotate tires at any club.

While I love shopping at Walmart, I always use Discount Tire for my wheel and tire purchases. And Walmart plus rocks

In my person experience walmart is OK until u need roadside/warrenty work. I had to go get warrenty work on a front driver side tire that was less then months old that had a huge bubble on the side wall on some goodyear tires. . I was over 50 miles away from my home that day and ididn't want to run my spare that far so I went to the local Walmart just to be told I need to set an appointment and it will be 3 weeks out. I tried to talk to them about my situation but the didn't budge. I paid for roadside and all the add-ons for the warrenty stuff and had my receipt with me. They couldn't even throw me in on the end of the day to try and slide me in. I had to go to a America's tires and just purchased another tire. Atleast they will take care of you when u need it. I will never get tires again from Walmart because of this. I contacted corporate as well while in the Walmart parking lot just to be told they will follow up with me through the stores local management which never happened.

pro tip: no matter where you're buying tires, DO NOT LET WALMART DO ANY WORK ON YOUR VEHICLES WHATSOEVER. seriously people. They cut corners constantly. Please go ANYWHERE other than walmart for your vehicle maintenance, lmao.

I went to my local Walmart this weekend to have my new tire. S say purchased online correct size and I've called up and verified that they were there went to the store had wait for about half hour for them to finally check me in. I was there on time About half hour later, they called me and said they had a problem As they said, the bolts were on too tight and they couldn't get them off one of the bolts they did get off, but, they stripped, it said it's my fault. I got very frustrated and left with the tires and had them installed. Another place without any problems, but they also did not put my hubcaps back on correctly. And one of them flew off when I left the store, they said they are not reliable for that

Bought some Black Friday Cooper Discoverer AT's yesterday for half the price of the other places. Took my 2023 SRW 2WD F350 in to have them installed. "Sir, our lift is only rated for 10,000 pounds, and your GVWR is 10,900. We can't install them here." Uh...does it LOOK like there is 4,000 pounds of payload in the empty bed?!? Their prices are great, but I will NEVER let those yahoo's touch anything on my vehicles.

Are club tires a real thing? Less tread? Less rubber? Thinner sidewall?

Nope. Not that I’ve experienced. I don’t buy tires that I don’t recognize the name or have minimum reviews. It’s probably the volume of tires they sell that allows for lower cost.

False, none of the clubs would want the liability associated with that. Not to mention, if you are in a crash and your insurance company notices your tires are not to OEM standards or better, they can decide not to cover the accident. You may also be liable if you hurt any people/property, leaving you to have to sue the Club store for damages.

If that’s a huge problem to get the correct tires put on after a mistake, I’d rather not use Walmart for my tires.

@@TheTorqueAholic It’s actually a more common practice than you’d think. Not just with Walmart. Just something to be aware of.
