Thanks for ALL your advice. I started with a cheap "kit" and paint, then started watching your videos. My original paints are at the back of my table, I have a decent compressor, and just got my H&S Ultra! The difference between the brushes is night and day. I have been working the muscle memory on the Ultra based on your beginner videos. I bought the .28 kit but haven't even opened it yet. When things become automatic when brushing then I will give the .28 a try. MANY Thanks!

Took your advice a few yrs back when i started up and purchased mid priced range creos now got 3 of them amongst others and tbh mukka they are spot on , yes you've approached this subject before but refresher vids are a must , thanks Mukka 😊😊

Definitely, people should get something that is high quality over something cheap. Not that there is anything wrong with cheap but an airbrush is a tool that will be used for a very long time, therefore it's better to get something that will give you a smooth and enjoyable experience while also teaching you the basics of how to properly airbrush.

I also learnt the hard way with my full size spray guns, yup I was the numpty that got a £10 spray gun from Amazon and thought I was a pro painter ready to tackle anything🙄🤠 but I soon found out that it was a total waste of time and money, after much research watching YT vids and asking the pros questions I got a GTI ProLite then I never looked back👌 I think the above goes for airbrushes as well, buying cheap is false economy👍

First brush was an Iwata HP-B off of Ebay for $70. The brush is fantastic and its abilities far exceeds my abilities!

Great video, spot on! With a cheapo as your first brush, yes you can paint but you have no idea how much you are working around the limitations of it until you get a decent one. Once you have used a good brush, H&S or others, you will never use a cheaper one again. The lesson is, are they made to paint with, made to make the experience better and easier, or made to 'pile high and sell cheap'

I would have to agree with you Mukka although some of the cheap brushes will do the job, it’s a personal choice imo but that personal choice sometimes is made easier if the knowledge taken onboard is good knowledge and have to say it’s always good knowledge on ur channel thanks for sharing 👌👌

Great comparison.. You are bang on about how horrible the triggers are one the cheapo airbrushes.. I bought two kwoons one sidefeed and the other a gravity and I hate them.. They are truly terrible and the same goes for crappy compressors.. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.. Yours is lookin spiffin btw

I agree with you Rob 💯 I started with a cheap kit and got so frustrated I quit for over two years, now I have a micron, evolution 2024, creos 289 and sotar, not a bad lineup and now I wish I went for a quality brush to start and how much better I'd be if I didn't quit.

we're not all artists, mix your paint and figure your pressure [22 to 26 psi] you don't need a 200.00 air brush

Cheap Ab can serve you well, if you know what you're doing. But then you will soon find it's limitations. Is it a game changer to upgrade to (at least) Patriot or Ultra!? Most definitely. Good article, as always :) Btw, what Mac valve you're using?

@@dredfxcustompaint Hahaha, i wasn't criticized. Just, i am on hunt for Mac valve with QC and to avoid to get one that behaves almost as on/off switch from Temu, thought to invest a bit more that couple of quids. So i thought, if you are using that, probably is worth of purchasing :)

Here we go again - I've been using airbrushes for 40 years - starting with a mouth diffuser - I bought Iwata years ago when they were not known here - lately I bought a Fengda airbrush which I tuned and which performs as well as the two creos brushes and the Iwata hp I have - yes there are cheap and cheerful but there are rip off prices for brushes that are marginally better - price is not an indicatorr of quality - you seem obsessed with using expensive gear - it's all down to talent mate - remember the beginner pencil ?
@TheAegisClaw20 сағат бұрын
There's a lot of truth to what you say, still love my Fengda, the cheapest of the cheap brushes I own. I also have an Infinity 2024 though. For fine detail work, the Infinity really is far superior, but for general use, there's really not much difference.
@TheAegisClaw20 сағат бұрын
It was actually the trigger response on the Fengda that showed me how horrendous the delay on the older H&S triggers was.

All my creos brushes have a feature where you half turn the nozzle and it enables back flushing. Even the instructions explain how to do it for cleaning. These are airbrushes used with harsh laquers and no problems at all.
