Buying your first motorcycle (2023 Ninja 400)

Thank you for your input! Especially the first half of the video where you mention all the negative talk that surrounds every conversation about owning a bike or even just discussing the urge to ride one. I'm saving up to buy my first bike ever and I'm going for a middle-weight bike (Hond CB650R) and there are always comments on how I'll die on it... from people who don't ride or know me :D I'm turning 30 this year, I'm not an 18 year old teenager who just wants to feel the speed but when I tell people I will go for a 650cc bike they lose their sh!t right away. To be fair I wouldn't mind starting on a smaller cc bike, like the CB300R but in this economy I'll never be able to sell it in order to upgrade and I believe starting on a bigger cc bike is only a problem if you are not a resposible person. I also asked 8-10 moto vloggers here on youtube about their CB650R experiences and literally all of them said the CB650R is a very beginner friendly bike, with a smooth power delivery and very stable suspension so I feel confident about my plan. All I need to do now is to rob a bank so I can get a 2023 model before dealers stop selling it:D

The cbr650r is definitely a very beginner friendly bike and out of the other 650 options in my opinion it’s the best one. It’s a little on the heavier side but it has a 4cylinder inline motor so it’s got phenomenal sound plus it makes 95 hp I believe so when you need a little more top end power you have it. Most people don’t realize that the smaller Parallel twins make more low end torque so they are touchier and more throttle responsive which can definitely throw a new rider into a panic. You shouldn’t have to convince them. But if you want to make them feel better with your choice then buy the appropriate gear, take them to your MSF course and offer to show them GoPro footage of you riding around not being crazy. If you drive a car like a maniac and have 10 speeding tickets I think it’s too late to convince anyone
