When one considers what happened to whistle blowers Gus Grissom, Ed White and Roger Chaffee along with Thomas Baron and his wife and child (all died in very mysterious circumstances and are not the only ones either) then its small wonder that men such as Buzz, Armstrong and others like them, all 'tow the line' when it comes to 'the official narrative'...........................May Almighty God Be With You.
@centerice
@centerice 3 жыл бұрын
The circumstances of the Apollo 1 tragedy that killed Grissom, White, and Chaffee were well documented, and in no way "mysterious." There were a multitude of SEVERE problems with the command module due to engineering and design flaws by the new space program contractor, North American Aviation. The astronauts themselves openly complained of flaws in the design and engineering of the new capsule, to my father, an engineer at McDonnell. They voiced their concerns in private, but directly to my father. He said that the overriding emotion they exuded was helplessness over their fate, as they complained bitterly about the "shoddiness" of the North American Aviation (NAA) work in the command module. Those conversations were obviously highly prophetic. The astronauts verbalized their desire to have the Apollo program remain with the by now, extremely experienced McDonnell designers since they had already flattened out their learning curve through their experience designing the Mercury and Gemini command modules, but it wasn't their call who was given the contract for the Moon landing phase of the space program. Bottom line, is that the death of the Apollo 1 crew was not even remotely mysterious.

The death of those 3 astronauts was directly caused by frayed wiring within the cabin of the spacecraft, which sparked and immediately engulfed the entire capsule in a deadly fireball due to the cabin being filled with 100% pure oxygen. It has been well documented by many other astronauts and staff involved with the project how they felt about the safety of the craft. Immediately following the tragedy they specifically created a review board to determine the cause of the explosion, and they made over 1300 fundamental design changes in order to revolutionize the safety of the capsule. There is nothing at all mysterious about a spark causing an explosion in a 100% oxygen filled area.

@clemfandango5908
@clemfandango5908 3 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t say its a hard time. Its very expensive and depending on the mission takes a ton of planning. Low earth orbit is the easiest to tackle. And when I say easy it takes about 200 to 300 geniuses years to put something into space. Then add humans and all the resources they need to stay alive. People have this idea that space travel is like the movies. It’s not. “The expanse” is fairly accurate in the way it deals with space travel…

I have altitude sickness myself, and the last time it happened I really thought I was going to die. I felt nausea, horrible head and chest pain, shortness of breath, heavy headed, slow, slow, sloooowww downnn. It took everything I had to get into my car and drive down to sea level. As I descended, my breath came back little by little. I had my four year old daughter with me, so it was critical for me to get down to sea level asap. I did and we survived and I learned for the first time that I suffer from altitude sickness. When you live in places in the USA that are mostly flat, like my home Arizona, you don't realize that you have to slowly acclimatize to the altitude. Some of us may never be able to do that. Maybe this was the case with Buzz Aldrin.

It sounds like there was a change in presser, altitude , syndrome, just like when you go diving , to much pressure and don't come up to fast, so one can adjust to the pressure. you go changing, pressure, one will go into shock. there's a lot of possibility of different pressure, the one needs to be acclimated.

@@MackTheGovnah it is actually true, European astronomers discovered it, but this commenter is also wrong, it is in space, one does not need to leave the atmosphere to reach space, you just need to pass the Karman line, which is 100 km above sea level, the moon is on average 400,000 km above sea level so yes, it is most definitely in space
