This hobby is getting weird, man. Thermal Scopes? In my NERF? Get outta' here. And even Hasbro is putting out a 5x Nightvision Scope in the Modulus line. Wow.
The Thermal Hunter is a pump-action magazine fed (clip, as it reads) rifle with an included thermal heatseeking scope for 25$. It's a steal, and it works good. The Zenith is less of a good deal, but it's an interesting blaster that fits in a slot that we really don't have normally in the competitive world: a pump-action pistol with a massive plunger tube (i've already opened mine, it's legit). Together, they make a REALLY cool lineup from BuzzBee!

I've done my own review on the Thermal Hunter's brother, the Interceptor, and I'm in love with the thing! Two quick tips to anyone looking to grab one: -Be ready to shave the area in the mag well slightly to accommodate Nerf mags & drums (I show this in my own review) -And if you have inconsistent dart firing performance, knock out the air restrictor valve. Worn darts, or slightly undersized darts (from manufacturing tolerance issues) can be pushed forward by the sizable spring in the valve, and that causes the seal between the dart and barrel to be subpar. Removing the valve cures all and is a very simple job to do with the nicely arranged internals. My Interceptor is hitting 100' repeatedly on typical angled shots (in the review, I show 90'+ shots) after only doing the air restrictor change. The Zenith is nothing short of spectacular for a small pistol type blaster. There's not much more to say, but I've been running one for HvZ and it's just fantastic. Packs the power of a Elite blaster into a small package that is very easy and comfy to use. All for a steal of a price of around $13 (I bought mine for just under $13 at a local Kmart). For me at least, if Buzz Bee keeps this up, Nerf is in for serious competition, at least in the springer category. Flywheel blasters are still Nerf's thing, but Buzz Bee kinda owns the spring area now.

Sometimes at the arena they'll shut the lights off and run a few rounds in pitch black without music or anything, so for about 10 minutes you're relying solely on hearing to detect targets (until your eyes adjust). It really makes for a surprisingly intense game (the anxiety, not the action). That thermal scope would be awfully handy for those rounds. (They don't do it for the general public, just when we bring our group in). I may have to treat myself to a Thermal Hunter...

I'm torn. I like the super professional way Walcom presented his review, but I kind of miss the way he gushes about almost every blaster. I also kind of miss the skits he would use for some blasters.

I think a good mod for the thermal scope would be to make a helmet for it so you could slide it in front of your eye like Luke Skywalker activating the targeting computer in episode 4. This although could be too bulky and my even cover your other eye depending on how you set it up.

Take one Thermal Hunter Attach Nerf stock attachment point from Recon/ Retal replace Buzz Bee barrel with Nerf barrel attachment point from same Recon/ Retal Cut a hole in for an access door Repaint in tacticool colors

I'm tempted to take one of the thermal scopes, cut it down and take like an acrylic tube or something, run the lights to that and mount the sensors further forward to create a thermal reactive iron sight of sorts. Would be awesome for firing from the hip so your gun has an indicator when its more or less pointing the right way. Anybody have any recommendations on how one would best do this?

Heatseaking is something that follows someone after it is fired so the scope is thermal not heatseaking.

That would be kind of badass though. Can you imagine pulling the trigger on your blaster and then having the scope launch off and chase your friend thus traumatizing him for life. XD

Lol, that or have actual heatseaking demolisher missles. Also with the vortex blasters that can sort of happen for a little bit because the disks are like frisbees and curve around corners if you are good with them.

That scope on a Monorail would be excellent, especially for a lighter, more dimly lit day of HvZ. If it works that well in the dark, it would be a godsend in dark dorms and hallways.

One thing I noticed with mine, that I have not seen anyone address, is that the rail adapter is not that good. Maybe it is just mine, but it won't lock onto most of my nerf rails, and with that heavy scope on there that is a detriment. The other way seems to work fine, sticking it on a buzzbee with a nerf scope. The bigger issue with the adapter however is its size, that is a massive chunk of plastic that pops your optic up quite high, especially the thermal scope on a nerf blaster. I will, eventually, cut mine down into two separate adapters and fix its ability to slide onto a nerf rail properly, but that is a down the road project. Also, the darts. I love those darts, and I tested them in several blasters. They performed admirably in all my springers. They did fine in my Rayven and Styfe, but jammed in my hyperfire. That necking down behind the head must make it harder for flywheels to get consistent hold on them. Just an FYI.

Should wire the scope up to a swarmfire, or something simalur, to be fired when the light is triggered. Not the "most practical" but should be fun and maybe cool to use in dart wars.

These seem like a much better value than their non-thermal variants. About 5 bucks more for the scope, and PrecisePro instead of the Long Distance darts. These seem like a must buy for me. But I do feel like Buzz Bee missed a ginormous opportunity with no slamfire, at least on the Hunter.

Trouty Films it hasn't got anything to do with faction emblems, it is a shader slot, every piece of equipment has a shader slot, ships included (not sure about sparrows yet and can't remember if ghosts are getting them)
