@@brianaevans9996 The main concern when it comes to eating sushi during pregnancy is the mercury content on fish. Sushi is predominantly made with raw fish and that's the high risk for mercury. However, if there's sushi that is made with cooked fish or tempura shrimp or vegetarian based, then that's fine. It's not the culture issue, it's more of the concern of development of the baby during pregnancy.

There is nothing moral about creating biological children since there are already millions of orphan children already born and waiting to be adopted from overcrowded orphanages worldwide. Also since you can't get the consent of a child to be born into this cruel world. Nobody chose to come into existence. Rather, we were all forced into the unfortunate state of existence without our consent to have to endure all the pain and suffering that comes with it . Had we never existed we'd have never suffered . ~ ~ The Benatarian asymmetry demonstrates why it is always better never to exist, regardless of the pleasure to pain ratio in one's life. Whereas : 1. The presence of pleasure is good, and 2. The presence of pain is bad; 3. The absence of pain is good even if one does not exist to benefit from that good, but 4. The absence of pleasure is not bad unless someone already exists for which such an absence would be a deprivation . ~ Given the above, it is always a harm to come into existence and reproduction is never morally justified . For a more in depth look | highly recommend reading Better Never to Have Been : The Harm of Coming into Existence by Dr. David Benatar ( professor and chairman of philosophy at the University of Cape Town, South Africa)~ ~ Note: The above applies to all sentient beings, not only humans. They too were harmed by being brought into existence .

The thing is when you're pregnant well at least when I was my ability to taste heightened making certain foods taste even better , it was like I could somehow taste each and every aspect separately but at the same time I know that doesn't sound like it makes sense but thats the best explanation I have like if I ate a big Mac which was one of my cravings I could taste the spices that made up the burger separately from the meat and taste the meat seperate from the cheese and so on but it was all happening at once. It no longer was a blend of tastes. So anyhow my point is to even try some of these concoctions you're still not likely to get the full effect unless you too are pregnant while trying or your sense of taste is heightened which may infact change your opinion of the way the foods taste.

I didn’t have many ‘weird’ cravings, but there were a couple: tomato sauce & spumoni ice cream (similar to the pudding, but not the same texture- especially if spread onto garlic bread), curry mac n cheese with ketchup, & pickles & ‘brown butter’ rice krispie treats was a disaster, but I needed to try it.
