BUZZMOD Rurouni Kenshin Himura Kenshin Review
Kind of a grail of mine, but I’ve always wanted a 6 inch fully articulated Rurouni Kenshin figure! Daisin Model and the original Revoltech didn’t really cut it so I was really excited to see Buzzmod and Figuarts take the series on. Initial thoughts? It looks great! But, the pants are always going to cause a problem with articulation. All in all, I’m really satisfied with it, just a few issues.

Finally got the chance to watch your review! Glad to see Rurouni Kenshin get love from both Buzzmod and Figuarts! I like that they made this figure short, as one of the reasons I passed on the Dasin Kenshin was him being too tall. Look forward to your review on the Figuarts Kenshin later this month as well 😁

wrong way putting the katana in his belt, probably that's why you can't angle it perfectly.

Rad lookinmg Samurai-X. Hakuma's are one of the most difficult things to capture in 1/12 action figure form. I thought the soft goods would solve the issues, but it just gives you new ones.

I have this anime on my need to watch list, it's a pretty long list. This figure does look really good, but yeah, the dynamic lower half poses, not so much. I think he looks a tad better than Muichiro, maybe it's the colors.

Standing there he looks cool! As you mentioned... cloth does not flow well at this scale which has always put me off aye. Keen to see how the Naruto robes will go in the coming months.

maybe the move is figuarts upper torso, buzzmod lower torso

or alternatively, modifying a dasin models upper torso. if only dasin models made their kenshin shorter, even with mods he'd still be too tall

I would say...the shoulder joints are not to my likings, they give me yamaguchii vibes. Other than that, the cloth piece is a nice touch and the headsculpt does look like kenshin from the anime. I am waiting for the SHF ver but this is also good.

LMAO! Other versions don't cut it but this one lost its hand in less than 10 seconds from being taken out of the box. Jabs aside, nice review. Might consider this and just fix the mishaps.

Its as if buzzmod and shf copied revoltech. Buzzmod got the upper body while shf got the legs. Im still torn which one to keep as ive preordered both 😅

Aside from the slightly larger scale the dasin model kenshin will most likely be the best kenshin figure for the fact that you can pull any pose due to having soft goods. The buzzmod looks silly with those shoulder and arm articulations, and dont even get me started on the sh figuarts....i did thought of getting this though not gonna lie but after seeing your review i decided to skip this so thank you.

They kinda half assed it, just make it all soft goods. I am happy though for the fans of this toy, atleast his pants are soft because plastic would like look overly bricky/lego'ish' and bad. Like the WHOLE SH Bleach line imo.

Funny that you shaded the best Kensin figure from Dasin in lieu for these disappointing figures. Figurarts is an inarticulate statue with those blocky pants. I have all their Bleach figures with the same ugly pants and none of them can bend past 45 degrees. Can't pose them in samurai crouches or action poses at all.
