Quite a lot of experimenting in the second week. The panelists would shuffle seats throughout the week, and the Match Game theme song was used in the introduction, but only on the Monday and Tuesday shows.

Yes, you could see that they hadn't figured out how to get the show moving along yet. Lots of dead space. And the questions were so bland, as this was before they had decided to make them a little bit naughty.

I,m surprised that the champion was playing a 5th game!! On other game shows like The Hollywood Squares(daytime) Tic Tac Dough & The Jokers Wild (syndicated afternoon/nighttime) where if you win 5 games---you win A NEW CAR!! MATCH GAME was definitely among some other shows that never gave away a 🚗 car!! Again what,s a game show wirhout a 🚗 car?!

It started off so slowly it was going to be cancelled. That's when the brought in the new celebs, new writers and spiced up the questions. After that the show found its audience and took off.
