What a disgrace of a King. She may have married him for money but he already had a wife whom he hid for over 10 years from the public. To divorce her while she was pregnant and abandoning them both is very irresponsible. She may have manipulated the King but she had to do what she had to do to survive. Malaysian sultans have terrible reputations - in the 1990s a Sultan from the neighboring state married a young lady from Australia and after marriage he and his family treated her so badly almost like a prisoner. After she fled with her two kids to Australia and remarried, the prince came back to Australia and kidnapped her children. She never saw them until they were adults. Look up the story of Jacqueline Gillespie. The Malaysian government does not interfere with the lives of their Sultans as they do not have the power and the locals revere their sultans as if they were some sort of Gods. Nobody can criticize their sultans as you would get into trouble.
