Can I use the SW-502 to inject PoE to downstream devices? That is, if I connect it to a modem (via the green ports? Does it matter?) and to a Wifi AP through Port 1, can it PoE the Wifi AP? This is a solid quick review, and I appreciate you answering your commenters.

Hello, thanks for the review I have one question about the small switch I have two POE cameras that need 802.3af, 48V Active, the question is the small switch will support both cameras at the same time?

always best to do your homework by reading the manufacture's specs yourself. But, that switch was made with POE cameras in mind, so my off-the-cuff answer would be YES.

I'm trouble shooting an 801 right now. The internet port stopped working! I tested with a laptop and laptop worked. Plugged cable back into switch, nothing!

If it was working before and then stopped. I would be suspicious of either the Ethernet cable or the switch. If the switch is old, consider replacing it. Non-managed gigabit switches have become so inexpensive these days. 😊

Ethernet cords are super cheap too if you know where to look. Monoprice, Amazon, and FS.com all have 5’ cords for about $3 USD each.

How do you manage the traffic across these switches? Is there a UI program or web interface?

Hi Chris. These particular switches have no management (dumb switches). But excellent switches for the price point. 😀
