I had a 350 x missile kit for my ATC. It blew everyone away when i took it to Tower City Pa. Rear suspension never seem to perform properly. But man was it a blast on the trails. I ordered the kit and it came in peices over 3 month . I didn't think they were ever going to send me everything. Thanks for the post and it brings back old memories.

I would love to see a version of this bike with TW size wheels on it. A little narrower swingarm and triple clamps and a little larger diameter tire. It would be half way between a stock dirt bike and your BW conversion. I know tires in that size are a bit limited but I’ll bet it would be the perfect blend of the TW200’s incredible trail worthy fun with some serious performance!!!
@Ultra54able2 жыл бұрын
Not sure a slightly narrower wheel will work as the whole thing relies on a secondary shaft centerline that must go well past the frame pivot of the bike. The rear sprockets centerline would likely line up too close to the frame.

Definitely really cool to see what it can do on the track. It would definitely shine on tighter technical slow trails and might actually do really well in hare scrambles!

For Motocross racers this would be a good exercise training bike cuz if you can hold this bike through 10 or 20 minutes Moto attend when you get on your regular bike you ought to be built up to where you can just yank that bike around like there's nothing over time getting the muscle is just build and you know and then you just you're stronger and your body is more adjusted to the time that you have to push in there's a good exercise bike in my opinion

Is it possible to make a XR650L fat tire out of aluminum to make it light weight or would that be outrageously expensive?

I have a question why did the FAT CAT Not have a jackshaft on it for chain to rear wheel can you tell me

Engine/transmission and frame on the fatcats are much wider than this bike so not as much sprocket or chain offset to deal with....that's my explanation

When you ride one, your question will be answered immediately. They’re very different from regular dirt bikes. They’re not razor sharp around corners, but they are a pleasure to ride in the trails

If I remember correctly the original Honda Fat Cat and Yamaha Big Wheel were built for going through muddy locations a normal dirt bike couldn't go through. So aside from a plusher ride the fat tires give more flotation in wet muddy pots. That and if you're blazing trails through the bush they're better at going over logs and what not. I'd say they were an early form of trail blazer/adventure bike before adventure bikes became a thing. I never had one as a kid so that's just my guess. :)

@expandingknowledge82692 жыл бұрын
The rolling mass is substantially different than a conventional motorcycle. The circumference of the tires, and the weight all contribute to a significantly different dynamic of actually moto crossing this bike. The only saving grace of this bike is the modern powerplant.
