I love the idea of using only starters, as it shows that the game is completeable without having to invest financially. However, since Honkai is much more team-focused than Genshin, how about adjusting this rule to "using only free 4-stars"? You can get 4-star characters of various elements from events, quests and such, so you don't have to pull or pay ) I think this way the idea of clearing the game without gacha is preserved, but you get a bit more flexibility with your teams.

About the starter character/weakness break stuff: You should be able to get Qingque for free as well from the Memory Hall (unlock her the same way you get a free Xiangling from Genshin). Then the only element you'd be missing for free characters will be Imaginary. There's only Welt in game so far with that element so I expect we'll eventually get a free Imaginary character one day just so free-to-play players get access to all possible elements. In the end, I figure you'll do what you feel comfortable doing!

Since the game seems to always force you to roll Asta on the tutorial warp, I honestly consider her a starter along with the other three. I think every monster until the end of Belobog has at least one weakness to these four.

Serval doesn't technically count because she won't be given away anymore after a period of time, but not only does Asta count, but Herta, Qingque, and Natasha as well.

@@effortlessfury I think I’m just basing it off of how we classify Genshin’s starters where everyone almost unanimously agrees the four starters are the traveler, Amber, Kaeya and Lisa since we get them in that order, whereas in Star Rail the order is Stelle, March, Dan Heng, and Asta, as you aren’t able to get to Herta or Qingque until you complete the Simulated Universe or get to a certain level, similar to Xiangling or Collei that require you to beat parts of the Spiral Abyss. You are correct though.

Yeah, I get it. My standard banner luck was insane. Gave me a Gepard at 3 pity, then Bronya's signature Light cone at 36 (and I had just Got Bronya from the novice banner) and them Bronya's E1 at 48... I wish I had Welt of Himeko but honestly not complaining, having E1 Bronya with her signature is kinda nice, and Gepard is basically my best tank (I can't use Fire MC after Gepard hahaha)

Bwaap, play and build Asta, you won't regret it xD In genshin you get only 3 starters, but in Star Rail: Serval, Qingque, Natasha and Asta are considered Starters too.
