I’ve camped there before. Not a bad little place 👍

oooh. I'm interested in your mount for the rod and trolling. can you list what parts you used there? I'm sure I can something similar, but that looks heavy duty.

I found that it was a little heavy dity for the kevlar canoes that we rented. It would work mych better on a canow with thicker siding (i.e. aluminum, wood). If the clamp wasnt stiff plastic and was maybe over a larger surface area i wouldve been less concerned about it damaging the side of the canoe.

Thanks for the video report! Heading to this area soon. Wholly crap! Didn’t realize how much of a torrent that was crossing through parent/Dissapointment. Eek!! Was it (the current) as it as forceful as it looks? Someone said this was chest deep? When did you do this?

Also, are you the ones who put up the paracord? The lodge told me someone put that up and left it. If it was, thank you!

I’m glad it was informative also hopefully entertaining. The rapids were about 3’ deep when we crossed on Sunday May 15th. It may have gotten even deeper. Current in the center was very strong. I did leave the paracord strung up for others. It was hard because i wanted to leave no trace but it may have saved someone from a bad situation, so that was my rationale.

Triple portage uffda

I can get my gear across in one but some of the crew packs “loose”. Most portages are 2 but carrying everything across a 15 mph current didn’t seem like a great idea. We took our time and tried to be careful so the trip didn’t derail sooner than planned.

Packing lessons are very much needed. Way too many loose bags. For a five man crew you should only have at the most 7 packs. One personal pack per man, one food pack and one gear pack.

I agree! Only 5 trips under our belt so we are still learning. I appreciate the constructive criticism.

Jimminie crickets! Way too many small bags of "stuff". You boys need to work on your packing and consolidation skills. Gotta think of the worst case scenario... what happens if you capsize. You'd lose a ton of gear with all those extra little bags. Otherwise decent video.
