Excellent video! I was there in 1979 with 2 buddies. We stayed for 4 weeks. Caught many fish. We did many parts of BWCA in the next few years. My buddies are no longer with us. Video brought back memories! Thanks

Love your Alumacraft canoe! I have one too (QT-17CL) that I've used as my BWCA canoe of choice for 30 years now and it just works so well for me. I'm often looked down upon for "still" using an aluminum canoe when other, lighter, types are available. Yes, there is the weight thing but I have so many other positives that I get out of the aluminum canoe I already own that I don't see myself switching anytime soon, if ever. Fun to see someone else making an aluminum canoe work for them as well.

After many BWCA trips back in the 80's, I graduated to a camping hammock, tired of rocks, tree branches & rain water with a tent. Never had any luck or patience for a friction fire either. Went to the 3/8" farrell rod & happy with it.

Hey that’s actually me in the video! It’s a Teavana loose leaf tea steeper but they no longer make them. We bought a HandyBrew on Amazon and it’s not quite as good, but works well too. Perfect for making bushcraft tea or any of your typical loose leaf blends.

I built a wood rack system like that for my ladders. And I over built it…. And my ladders and wood yard saled all over the highway. Not saying that will Happen to you boys but you better have a fresh set of undies if it does😂. So glad you did another trip to the bwca

Great video! A BW trip is always a great time, rain or shine. I don’t usually use a sleeping pad but I’m looking for one for my dad; what kind did you take on this trip?

Great video - I am hoping to make it to BWCA for the first time early fall this year. Were your daily distances pretty easy? I have not tried canoe camping before (more of a backpacking guy).

We paddled 1-3 hrs per day and we're able to do this sea gull to saganaga loop no problem. Lots of time at the campsite relaxing!

The gorgeous natural scenery is one of the main reasons we love the BWCA. If the blurred background for much of this video is due to a camera setting, it’s a stupid camera setting and ruined most of your footage.
