The thing that will kill this team is the lack of wide receivers that can get open when we need them to. Julian Fleming was never that guy all the way back to his 5star ranking in high school. Sorry son, you have it an honest effort, you just aren’t a division one wide receiver, he would have been much better served at a PSAC school. Nobody outside of Tyler Warren is worth shaking a stick at.

I rewatched the Oregon game today. Our DBs weren’t put in position to succeed. The refs were a solid F-. I still can’t see an upside to the 2 point conversion. Never should have thrown that last interception but I like the aggressiveness.

Two tweaks for the playoffs IMHO... the Lions' D needs to figure out that opening they leave in the middle of the field on passing downs. On offense, better receiver separation will provide an alternative to just Warren or forcing the ball.

These aren't things you can tweak. The defense had an opening over the middle bc Oregon will always through WR screens. James and Whittington were huge threats running the ball, and you know they can burn you deep from anywhere, so this keeps your linebackers down, your safeties back, and your corners out. Offensively, you get separation with speed that PSU doesn't have.
