I bought an iCarsoft POR 3.0 which was ok for my Porsche Cayenne Turbo S but was brand specific. I then bought a Topdon ArtiDiag 600S for my wife’s BMW X5 and then when I bought my TTs I use it on them as well. The ArtiDiag 600S does everything I could want, put a memory card in, connect it to my phone hotspot and I have touch screen diagnostics, service reset and on line error code searching. It covers most if not all vehicle manufacturers and it’s never been defeated yet. I carry the iCarsoft POR 3.0 in the Cayenne because there’s no point not having it there but if I’m working on the car at home I prefer to use the ArtiDiag 600S. For me it’s value for money, it compliments all my servicing requirements resetting intervals etc. it’s touch screen which is quicker and easier to use. It can even email diagnostics to my printer or to a garage printer for professional diagnostic printouts. It’s undefeated, covers all the manufacturers you could think of and some I’ve never heard of. It’s moderately priced but it will pay for itself many times over.

As a quick update to this, its actually pretty good, code reading, clearing, saves reports, live monitoring. Given I tried one of those Carly things, this is certainly better, and its a one off payment not some subscription model like some are.

Tbh I have VCDS and really don’t know how to work all the functions, one of these would be alot more compact and easy to use until I get to grips with it
