I have the piranha bar on my bucket and it has worked really well. I've had it for two years now and it improves the ability to dig and cut through the dirt. Plus, it protects the factor edge on the bucket. So far it has held up well. I have been pleased with my purchase.

I've had this bar for about 3 yrs and it's worked very well, cutting into dirt or stone is so much better with the bar, and an added boss it you cn fill your bucket with more material. I've had a few times I needed to take off the layer of sod and this tooth bar does a nice job of it. I chose it because you can back drag with it, some bars won't let you do that. I'm surprised they never came out with a snow edge with a plastic edge mounted to their straight ver. of this bar. I painted the hole after I was done drilling to help prevent rust forming on the bucket. I also got rid of a few areas on the bucket edge that were folded over or bent down, some of them I could straighten out with a ball-peen hammer or large pliers, others I used a grinder very carefully to make sure the tooth bar sat against the bucket edge correctly. My unit is showing some rust in areas this year even though I garage it year around.

I just installed the piranha tooth bar on my bucket about 4 months ago. it works pretty good but what I have noticed the grade of the metal is real soft so it's probably going to wear out pretty quick. when I drilled my mounting holes I drilled the hole about an eighth of an inch farther back so when you tighten up the mounting bolt it draws the bar back even tighter onto the bucket

This is the one I have Got it on his second run when he first started It has held up very well through gravel driveways and moving boulders around and dirt Still sharp with a few digs in it But I could file them out but have not seen a need to It takes a lil time to get use to back dragging with it but not bad .It's more like our rubber tire loaders at work Need to just use the flat bottom edge of it and will work great 👍

Great video as always. I’ve got the Heavy Hitch tooth bar, and while it does make for rough back dragging, it’s awesome for using to comb out debris and roots while back dragging with the bucket curled down steep. It’s also really good at gathering and ripping out vines. Of course it’s a digger too. I only put mine on when I’m working with roots or vines or moving a lot of rounds or cut wood. The set screw mounting makes it so easy to pull on and off.

I have never run my bucket without a tooth bar. Got it to protect the front lip too. That said I have that very same tooth bar and their smooth version. I’m pleased with both. An added benefit, is increased capacity with soil etc.

I am going on my 4th year with mine. I have put it through about 15 dump truck loads of rock and gravel at my property and it shows no wear that is blatantly visible. Still sharp as new and I have to be careful walking around it in the shop as it can cut you so I always try to have the bucket on the ground when working around it. I have used it to backdrag and it is decent for that. I don't know what grade of steel this is but it is holding up great for me so I am very impressed with the quality of it and would definitely recommend it. It's kind of like a utility knife for your bucket in that it is good for many uses and not just for digging like some competitors.

So from memory, I think it was 57 inches? It’s been a little while though, so my memory may not be the best reference. They give you instructions for measuring your bucket and I follow those instructions.

Do you think adding all of these holes to the side of your bucket will eventually compromise the integrity of the bucket? When putting my Ken’s bolt on hooks on top, I worried a bit, but I think the sides are more pertinent to the structure than the top. Just curious what your opinion is.

The hole that is drilled is pretty far back and hasn't caused any problems on mine after 4 years nor have I ever heard of problem with other owners I know that have it.

I do not think it is a problem. The top of the bucket is actually a lot easier to bend. My hooks on my bucket are reinforced with a steel plate and I can still see the top of the bucket bend when I put a lot of load on it. Even with those holes I would say the tractor doesn’t have the lift capacity to buckle the sides of the bucket

Good install video, only thing is your pilot bit was WAY too big, everybody know you need to use a 7/64" bit to keep the heat down..... :) Actually, I wonder if using a pilot bit the same diameter as the first portion of the step bit would make enlarging the whole "more" precise for folks that do not do much drilling? Never really thought too much about it, usually just grab one of the smaller bits, drill and then start working my way up in sizes (or use a step bit util you realized you made the hole bigger than necessary...... Curious if the mounting holes for the different tooth bars are located the same or different enough to drill multiple holes on a bucket to use different bars in different circumstances?

Why not a 3/32 on those pilot holes The step bit seemed like the perfect tool for this
